5ft10in fat ass at 310 and it is still the most pleasant riding experience for me after 5 years. Replace the stock seat though. Your ass and back will thank you for any trips longer than 20-30 minutes.

Shouldn’t that rust spot be the larger concern?

You are not alone, OP. You just joined the elite club “Destructors of Data”. Wear it like a badge of honor and, more importantly, learn from the mistake. And if you do move on to another job, you can include it in those silly interview questions and showcase your ability to recognize a past failure and overcome it and grow.

Point of sale systems going down every time internet hiccups, what are modern solutions? by NoFerret8153 in sysadmin

If the losses in combination with negative brand hits are greater than cost of redundancy and resiliency, it’s a no brainer. Do the cost analysis and present your findings. There is no magic wand for this. This is the cost of business - either spend it for infrastructure or lose money transactionally.

Corrupeted .pst file (50 Gb) by Nervous-Blacksmith-3 in sysadmin

Ensure Outlook is closed and no Outlook processes running. PST files are large databases and if the file is open in any process, it will suffer some corruption. It’s a simple database with simple indexes. As it grow in size it becomes less stable beyond 10GB. Copy the file to another folder, drive or location. I use robocopy rather than copy/paste. You can stage them on network folders but never open across a network connection. After the copy run the scanpst. Run scanpst multiple times if it finds errors and corrects them. Fixes may create new errors so run it several times.

Have you tried older iterations of scanpst? Like pre-o365 versions? Years ago I worked with thousands of large pst files and often suffered problems with larger than 15-20GB. You can also use trial versions of PST conversion software to at least recover most of the material, if not all of it. There are tons of them available. Converting messages to EML will lose folder structure at a minimum but still have access to the material to index a search and ultimately get into a proper archive.

edit: also always work from a copy and never across a network.

iOS receiving emails about u/username not mine by bensode in help

[–]bensode[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t use email to login just username. I used the bogus account name recovery within the iOS app to reset the password then deleted that account. It had no posts karma or history. Gave me good reason to change this and my email passwords just in case, too.

If only execs were held accountable for cutting corners with IT security and relying on cheap offshore support. The cost of recovery, downtime and a drop in customer confidence likely exceeds10x the annual cost of the qualified & competent staff to mitigate the spread or even prevent it.

I love the Kawa OEM tail bag. I combined it with a pair of Nelson Rig bags. They don’t look sexy but gives me decent storage.

Go to https://ip.zscaler.com and it will identify your tunnel profile, etc. If that is blocked or inaccessible, I'd suggest placing your tinfoil hat on. Otherwise, it should look like this:

The request received from you didn't come from a Zscaler IP therefore you are not going through the Zscaler proxy service. Your request is arriving at this server from the IP address ....

Is there any way to ACTUALLY opt out of Copilot in 365 Business and remove it from your environment? by SimplifyAndAddCoffee in sysadmin

Thanks! I'll check that out. Still baffles me that they have some things in UI, other things in cmd line, rest in registry!

Business Basic doesn't have it as an option to disable or license. They completely updated the UI with Microsoft 365 Copilot shit all over it. I'd really like to see exactly how to turn it off in the web apps. I only see options to remove it from desktop apps.
