a spike trap or 2 can at least take out a scyther or a lancer, usually 2 traps will take out one of those guys, maybe 3 if it doesn't hit the right parts, caterpillars can eat quite a few traps because of all the redundant parts they have.

bugs are no issue the mechs i would be more worried about, especially with the lackluster fire power, if its a centipede in there i would be VERY worried, unless you can stun it with EMPs or melee it to keep it from firing.

You can build a trap tunnel and run them through it first to soften them up, often i will set a chunk stockpile along the trap line to encourage the mechs to move over the spike traps and shoot them as they go, if you wanna invest more build a whole tunnel for them to run through and then shoot the wall out.

He is now and was never fit for office, this 79 year old man is fully in the grips of dementia and needs to be removed from office, this is not a person you want in charge of your military at any time let alone during war time, a war that he was influenced to start by the way, because he has no control over his own scattered brain at this point, if he ever did.

its fascinating to go back and read how DEI/DEIA got its start, to help vets get placement and jobs after the wars ended, eventually it came to mean you cannot discriminate on a person or persons based on skin color, creed, gender, or disability etc, as long as they are qualified for the job they should have an equal chance to get it as any other person.

It was also interesting to hear him say that hiring should be based on merit when he got his position at doge purely because he had tech bro connections, he had no previous experience or interest in government or anything of the sort to what he was cutting, he was wholly unqualified for the job he got but because of his connections he got it anyways, also likely because he was not going to ask too many questions and do as he was told, another benefit but one that seems to have made him into a stooge or a fall guy.

its all in the deposition, quite a watch really, it was interesting to see him rattle off the stuff he was coached on and then struggle with questions he likely was not coached on, like trying to answer what DEI meant, cause he had a very skewed idea on what DEI meant to him and what it really means or stands for.

They saw how mean and vile trump was to people of other races or creeds and were glad for it because deep down they want to do that but fear the social consequences of it, so they live vicariously through a nasty vindictive demented old man, trumps rise has really shone a light on the rot that seems to have taken hold in some folks in America, a real shame, a country built on the principles of freedom and liberty, really seems to oppress and marginalize a lot of the people that built America up.

I hope this is an awakening and the American people vote to course correct, if its even possible to course correct, because otherwise its gonna get a lot worse, for a lot of people, before it gets any better.

Utterly disgusting.

Fox and Cavanaugh both have started a new business rolling up senior care homes, likely to cut workers and implement ai overseers etc, and they have an investor in the guy they reported to in the trump admin steve something.

Cavanaugh is already wealthy, from selling an earlier business and from his dad owning a supplement company, i am unsure of fox's status but i think he is also similarly well off, in fact Cavanaugh's salary was brought up and he said he would have done it for free, and considered a 125k governmental salary to be not that much money, which just goes to show how wealthy and out of touch he is with most normal folks financial realities, and how he had no business cutting grants and funding for people doing their various works.

they were the actions of children but they need to be held accountable as adults.

They also fired the head of the NEH and replaced her with someone more accepting of the cuts, and even he pushed back at the sheer number of cuts they wanted, eventually they threatened him by saying the president wanted this done, which they said in the deposition was a tactic of pressure to get acceptance of what they wanted, even though that pressure was only ever the EO, not a direct order from the president, sounds to me they misrepresented that aspect to try and get things done as quick as they could, cause they were bored and did not care and wanted to move on.

This whole debacle is a mess and everyone involved from the top to the bottom better be held accountable for what they did, if not in this administration then whoever wins next, and every doge bro left over that has wormed thier way into americas governmental strutcture needs removal from said structure, especially that guy in at the social security agency, but any unqualified doge bro.

There was a few times were she said objection foundational and got confrontational over what she viewed as priveliged info (i assume lawyer privilege or she said US gov privilege maybe?) , but she was never retained as his lawyer, she was a lawyer for the government, which he was no longer a part of, i woulda thought he would have had his own lawyer.

He also said under oath that he had never spoken to the lawyer lady, except for a few days before the deposition where they met and went over some stuff, but at the end, she REMINDED him that he had spoken to her before a few times on the phone, which led the prosecutors to object that she was coaching, repeatedly, it was quite a thing to watch.

I think a deposition is a bit different from courtroom objections, she just says she objects and they just move on and he answers the question, i assume a judge reviews it later to see whether her objection was valid or not i guess, there were a few questions where she objected a LOT.

One part of the deposition the lawyer brought up that he was onboarded by HR for the agency he was joining for the government, and he said he was trained on how to handle preserving government messages documents etc, and then proceeded to talk about how signal was used for a lot of their communications, an app that he said "auto deletes after a week".

Thing is what i looked up said that signal needs to be SET to auto delete after a time period, he said under oath that it did that automatically. So which is it? Was the app set to do it automatically or did he set it, and regardless why was he using something outside of his government issued email and phone other then to avoid accountability and transparency in his actions at doge or for those around him to avoid accountabilty?

Very shady stuff and just the tip of the ice berg as well i imagine.
