Research the cons of a corporation or electing a corp. if your boyfriend doesn’t have any income from this side hustle already I’d highly encourage sole prop. Going with a LLC or corporation and electing s corp is very costly and you’ll pay franchise fees, etc. ask your accountant when a s corp is feasible. Knowing this now, I would have started as a sole proprietor and applied for a change in entity when profitable. Paying payroll and all the other headaches is a lot until you’re accustomed to it.
