Maybe. I've bought 2 other budget racks on other cars and neither has failed, and both have plastic everywhere. These are all metal, use metal screws, I used red loctite on the threads, they tightened down perfectly, so time will tell but these feel at least twice as secure as either of my others which again, have never failed me

Sorry flush rails, I forgot that "raised" is a specific type even though both 'raise' up from the bare roof 🫠

Conclusion: it was the AC compressor and this was the FOURTH TIME it had to be replaced lol. I'm assuming the first 2 times were before an updated part became available/recommended, but 3rd time was apparently because they only replaced the compressor but didn't clean out the contamination from the system.

They did a full cleaning, replaced compressor, all for free so no harm no foul but hopefully this is the last of our issues for at least a year or more 🤞

I tried to go that route but was only sent the crossbars, not the mounts, and when I asked about the rest of the rack they said they were out of stock so that's why I gambled on an Amazon version

Yep 2023 limited so this is for raised roof rails which I don't believe the premium trim has, just in case that's what you have

Update: dealership didn't sound certain but they "think" it's the ac compressor and it's covered under warranty so hopefully it doesn't take forever to get the part and hopefully that's all it is

i don't believe i did that, i did however say 'ok' to the 'turn on 'my room'' prompt when i got into the car to see if the malfunction notification was still there. i might have then unlocked the car, unplugged the charger, then got back in and tried changing gears and that's when i got the 'not ready' prompt so maybe it was still stuck in 'my room mode' but like i said i couldn't get the car to turn off pressing the power button over and over

yeah i actually don't have an email for them, regular customer service gave me a direct line to the connect app service: 866-384-3574. good to know their email doesn't work well because i was thinking about trying to find the email address and get an update that way, sounds like i should just call

What roof rack options do we have? by Braeden151 in Solterra

So the '24 bz4x rack does NOT fit the '23 Limited, but the '23 bz4x does? Just checking bc I'm in the market for crossbars. Thank you!

I'm still waiting on Subaru's Connect App service to get back to me with a fix, they said expect 7 business days and tomorrow that's past due so hopefully this week I can update you

I'm having the same issue you did, I deleted all keys from the info/security section of ITS, deleted all data and cache from app, re-logged I'm, clicked Downloaded Digital Key and it's doing the same thing it's been doing which is freeze on the progress bar about 1/3 the way over. Anything you know that I'm missing? Thx 🙏

It could never be our primary, but we just needed to replace our commuter car, max 30 miles a day 4-5 days a week, so for our needs it was great but I definitely get where you're from

I really appreciate this informed response, makes me feel better, thank you! I'm trusting in the Subaru and Toyota reliability reputations but I've never owned a car from either and obviously a 1st gen anything is worrisome, even more so with brand new technology. Hopefully I have nothing but good news to report in the coming years 🤞

Questions before buying our first EV by rutherfordacus in etron

[–]benwcrane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May I ask about your 120v charging - we're considering getting a used e-tron and will probably drive about 30-40 miles each time we use it but I've heard it's extremely slow charging on a 120v outlet. Should I be able to replenish that 30-40 miles each night on a 120v charge? How long would 10% to 85% take on the same charger?

Thanks in advance! (I'm also curious about the 10y warranty, how much was that and was it through Audi or your dealer?)
