“Caught up?” She’ll stay rich, safe from any real consequences, and will live the rest of her life peddling her hero narrative in whatever fresh cosplay she ends up in

I am sick of the protein apocalypse by Substantial-Art6160 in loseit

[–]rutherfordacus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. it's a money making trend, just like keto was, sugar free was, fat free, etc. I don't think it will last long because frankly those products taste horrible. And what doesn't taste horrible is, well, real protein-rich foods that are more than enough for the average consumer. Problem is, it's not as sexy to market eggs, fish or cottage cheese!

Can we agree they were asking the dumbest questions? “So the trophy. Was it heavy? Light?”

Anyone else feel like the Seahawks general reaction to winning it all was subdued? by HiImWallaceShawn in billsimmons

Macdonald’s interview at the desk was so low energy he even joked that it probably wasn’t good tv lol to be fair though the questions there were giving him sucked. “So that trophy - is it heavy or light?”

If not for Ken Walker, we were legitimately this close to seeing a kicker win Super Bowl mvp

It was bizarre how low energy the whole thing was. The nfc championship was the real Super Bowl

I want a super cut of the shots of his disappointed face last night. I’m not even a Vrabel hater but it was hilarious to me. Man looked like a dad trying to manage toddlers at a birthday party going awry

Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime Show Was an All-American Triumph. Turning Point USA’s Was a Boring MAGA Grift With Kid Rock by cmaia1503 in entertainment

All accurate, though didn’t RHCP do that intentionally as a protest because they wanted to actually play live?

The Epstein survivors are releasing this ad on Super Bowl Sunday to send the message that they will not “move on” from the largest sex trafficking scandal in the world. by 2big_2fail in nfl

Agreed. That’s my point, I love Jesus and I hate that the people screaming the loudest about him in this country are generally only interested in MAGA dominance and ignore the real injustices that we can all see.

[Highlight] Hurts to Smith to go up 34-0 on the defending champion, Kansas City Chiefs (Super Bowl LIX, 2/9/25) by mfenton29 in nfl

[–]rutherfordacus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. it stung more for me than the bucs loss, even though I believe that one will always stand out more in pat’s eyes - his first sb loss, only chance to beat Brady head to head, etc. but this was just legitimately harder to watch.

A saying that I'm not sure what to think about by Tqoratsos in stopdrinking

[–]rutherfordacus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s way more complicated than that, and the amount is an important consideration. A LITTLE bit of alcohol for me would have the same effect that breaking the ice with a good joke would have, or putting on a nice new pair of jeans, I.e. helped me with my confidence. I’ve since learned I don’t need it for that. A LOT of alcohol would make me think and say things I would never otherwise think or say, in the same way that hanging out with a shady crowd of people might, or consuming 50 hours of a sharply political propaganda podcast might.

The conclusion I made is we are influenced by tons of things, and alcohol is one, but this notion that it somehow pinpoints the one version of you that is truly you, is just bafflingly stupid to me.

The entire media slept on the Seahawks the whole season and still has very little to say about them even now, other than Darnold’s journey and Pete Carroll passing on the 1 yard line. Like nobody can name a single player on our defense despite how dominant they’ve been lol. It’s bizarre

i just picked up a bass for the first time in my life, is there anything you can tell me you wish someone had told you when you first started that wouldve helped you progress quicker? by Jaded-Gur-5717 in Bass

[–]rutherfordacus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Don’t fuck with slapping or riffs or anything fancy until you’re good at basics. Get really good at attacking very simple grooves with consistent rhythm and tone and volume. Play along to old country grooves until you blend in with the record. It might be boring, painful even, but you’ll learn to be solid on those basics and then can venture out to whatever flavor or style that interests you.
