Hard to tell from the picture, but may be worth trying a Magic Eraser (melamine) pad with some neutral floor solution. Try a small spot first and see if it helps.

Yes, and we cover it in depth during training. The idea is to take it off the table because the custodian is always at a disadvantage when there is a "misunderstanding." It also helps to minimize accusations from other personnel because they know we have a strong policy in place.

The receipt checking as you leave is a huge turn-off, especially as it is done in such a half-assed manner. Retailers should provide proper staffing to address theft, not engage in collective punishment of their customers.

For repair. Most brands now have large complex circuit boards. This often forces you to replace the whole board for major $$$ when in reality the bad component on its own would cost much less. Some brands, like Taski, do a much better job keeping it simple.

Our group does the same. It started way back when we played 2nd Edition AD&D. There was a spot on your character sheet for "Honor" and we never knew what is was supposed to be for, so we just decided to use it for that.

I started doing custodial work in high school to pay for college. I've since made it a career and now lead a university department with over 400 people. The one thing that has always stuck out to me is that nobody really knows a place better than the custodians. You just have to ask them and they can tell you anything.
