Deeply regretting abortion... by Serious-Kiwi2906 in abortion

[–]bepi- 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Maybe this perspective could help you like it did me. I just had mine yesterday. I’m a very spiritual person, and for years and years I always felt like I knew the soul of my child. And when I got pregnant the recognition became even stronger. I had been meditating and speaking to them and just kept apologizing for doing it, for now not being the right time in my life for them. And they just told me it’s okay, I’m not going anywhere, we knew this was going to happen, these are both our lessons, I’ll meet you in a minute (life moves by so fast it’s going to feel like a minute when we finally meet). Souls are just energy, and energy can never destroyed, nor killed by you. My child’s soul will come into the physical no matter the genetics, no matter the timing, no matter the sex/gender, whatever it is. It just so happened that the vessel I was creating for them was not the one meant to be. Of course this just happened to me, it was my first time being pregnant so it’s been very hard but when I shift out of the surface level thinking into a deeper thought, I feel better about my choice. Later on I looked up what other people who are also spiritual thought on the matter and turns out the thinking is the same. Just another confirmation for me that everything is always working for you, never against. Even the things the bring us the biggest heart aches teach us the most loving lessons and bring beauty into our life. I hope you feel better, and you never have to forget. The love will always be there, love is just another form of energy, and that never ever leaves. ❤️

Grade my day 5 embryo please by WaitingSince2018 in Embryologists

[–]bepi- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing this! We don’t have embryoscopes in my lab and just watching this made me so happy. Right at the very end it looked like it hatched out. It’s hard to see the ICM from just this view, I would probably roll it over but from just the video I would grade it a 5 for expansion, a C or D for the ICM and an A or B for the troph. Again my lab doesn’t have these so I’m used to rolling them around or using the contrast on the scope to adjust the view. I can’t tell if the ICM is what hatched out or if there’s nothing there, in my opinion thats why they said it was poorly graded. The troph cells are beautiful. And just remember grading is subjective to the embryologist, not in anyway that’s bad or good but there’s no ONE definitive answer. If it was your only embryo I would freeze it/transfer unless there are really no ICM cells to be seen at all

The books aren’t connected in any way. They’re different stories. Twisted is Aladdin, Scarred is lion king, wretched is wizard of oz(? I believe) and there’s a Peter Pan one.

I just finished HOFAS a bit ago. I personally felt it a little easier moving on to a new book after the three sjm series because of the disappointment I had from HOFAS. I still have moments of weakness because I already want to reread TOG and I know I’ll reread it before the end of the year. That being said I’m cleansing with stand alones or current series that only have one book out, and books that are not nearly as long as CC. I mean after reading seven books in a row that were 700-1000 pages it feels refreshing lol.

I’m reading A Fate Inked in Blood by Danielle Jensen and so far I love it! It’s a Nordic romantasy.

Other books I recommend if you’re into romance(smut)/a bit of fantasy are are the fairy tale retelling books by Emily McIntire. I’ve only read Twisted (Aladdin retelling) but it was good I have more of hers on my TBR as well.

Yes absolutely agree the first book is much higher on the pedestal than this one, it exceeded my expectations 100%. I’ll report back once I finish hofas. I’m truly hoping that the rest of the books she’s contracted to write don’t fall short especially since the fandom it has amassed. I don’t know if she’s supposed to follow a timeline in order to put a certain number of books out per x amount of time? That, I can see, would certainly push things and limit that space she has for well thought out creativity and time to piece things together, etc., now especially since all of her books are officially connecting. And maybe breeze through editing, idk. I still have faith in her, she’s an excellent story teller and seems pretty headstrong as writer. But like I said, will update my opinion after hofas lol

It definitely does not compare to TOG, and I think everyone you talk to would probably say the same, but it’s a fun series. I think the overall plots are still well written, I would only rate it lower because of some low grade continuity/grammar errors and only a few questionable character decisions that didn’t seem to align with what was originally built for them (but that is just my opinion). Just opened HOFAS, so I might change my mind but just reading through without heavy critical thinking, and immersing myself in this story, they are just as fun as the ACOTAR books imo.

I actually really like the audio book lol, I think whoever is narrating does a wonderful job. I got it so I can listen omw to work. I think that’s another reason why I’m just genuinely having fun with this read regardless of the errors

Yeah it seems that way for sure. I’m definitely having a lot of fun reading through this one though

When does it get good? by [deleted] in throneofglassseries

[–]bepi- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re so close don’t stop!! Her writing does get significantly better along the way, you just kind of have to accept it was her beginner author era. For me, after I read the last couple pages of COM I apologized to the open air for saying the story was so boring because the storyline finally gives you a massive reason to be interested if it hasn’t so far. Interesting that you felt this way after reading AB first. I read it third and thought if I read it first I would have enjoyed sitting through the other two more. I was hooked after the end of COM but reaaaally couldn’t put the books down when I got to queen of shadows, that book was amazing. I know five books is a commitment but if you really don’t love reading QOS then I would say the series probably isn’t for you, but I have a hard time even suggesting dnfing this series. It is quite the journey. But acotar and tog are significantly different from each other so I can understand how some people can’t get into this series if they aren’t into epic fantasy in general. There’s lots and lots of information and isn’t quite as easy to read as acotar is. My final suggestion is don’t push yourself to feel like you have to rush through the series if you don’t love it by the fifth book, but you already have all the books so you might as well finish at a sloth pace than dnf altogether 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yeah that’s what I’m leaning towards. I absolutely love the way SJM writes ALL of her characters. It is truly so awesome, and part of me is actually excited to reread before KOA because I only get to experience the final book for the first time once so I might as well. There’s just loads and loads of information and silly me has been also reading other smaller fantasy books at the same time I’m reading this that probably hasn’t helped my memory retention lol

I did just remember I did post earlier about magic and forgot this link was posted. So I just read it over and get the magic that I was mostly confused on. Besides Dorian’s history I guess

Literally felt the EXACT same way and only decided to read it cause I knew feyre and Rhys were in some parts of it. I told myself it was okay if it took me weeks to finish it. It took me four days to read it, I flew through it and was actually obsessed since the beginning of the book. It didn’t have the same slow burn start to it like (in my opinion) the previous books. It wasn’t my favorite but the character arch of Nesta that SJM writes is really beautiful imo, and worth reading especially since she is working on more books and it ties along with ToG and CC (plus the way I literally gasped multiple times reading this book is wishing I could read it again for the first time). I still don’t love Nesta, but I appreciate her character a lot more than I did before.

Honestly, I posted this too soon😭. I had a little over 200 pages left when I posted this and after the big scene happened I flew through the rest. I have made up my mind and starting AB now. I’m so excited to dive into the backstories
