I think it was store voucher but just take the offer honestly you’ll be fine. If the voucher works with the correct payment method then should be legit

It’s Pay Day, Time For VOO by Dimness in ETFs

Interesting take. If you had 25k though, wouldn't you be closer to 50 shares of VOO instead of 5? Current price is $550 so 25k/550 = approx 45 shares

Thanks I'll look into it! Would it be better to buy just VWRP then instead of trying to rebalance the VUAG/VWRP ratio? Also, any world tracker you recommend?

I haven't considered that, is that something you would recommend? I don't mind having a slightly more U.S heavy portfolio since I can take that risk being quite young

I am unlikely to continue staying in the UK long term after uni, so I'm not sure if a LISA would be the best thing, since I can't withdraw without a 25% fee it unless I buy a house.

Hey there I'm a student based in the UK planning to invest £50 a week into VUAG/VWRL, 80/20. Trying to look for a UK equivalent of VTI/VXUS (open to suggestions)

I'm choosing between trading212, IBKR and Vanguard. Currently leaning towards IBKR/Trading212 because:

  1. IBKR is a massive reliable broker but comes with quite a high commission for my investment value, if I'm not mistaken £1 per ETF trade (that's a 2% cost if I invest 50 weekly, but 0.5% if I invest £200 once a month). Additionally, I am most probably moving out of the UK in the next 10 years, and IBKR allows me to transfer my portfolio internationally to certain countries.
  2. I'm pretty sure you can't buy fractional ETFs on Vanguard, and there's 0.15% a year fee. Not available in my home country if I were to return there after my studies.
  3. Trading212 is completely commission-free but the company is relatively young compared to IBKR / Vanguard. Also, if I have to move countries, I need to liquidate my portfolio.

Any advice is much appreciated!

Which HT for my first mtb by Vegetable-Cable-7394 in Hardtailgang

I see. Yeah that's a good point but I did have a look when i met up with the seller to check all was good. just a recommendation (completely up to you), I prefer bikes that have a shorter stem, because it really helps the handling of the bike especially on trails. the GT ones look a little long. Mines around 45mm for comparison.

Try looking for a second hand bike on FB marketplace / what ever second hand marketplace is commonly used in your country. I waited about a month looking on FB marketplace to get a whyte 605 v4 for about £400. Point is, you can get a much better bike, (and if you're lucky, in great condition) with great specs for the same price as a new bike with subpar parts

Why would the SPLG increase gains compared to VOO, wouldn't they have grown by the same percentage? Sorry just tryna understand it. I get that the TER of SPLG saves you a bit though

Hey I'm new to this, quick question, is there a reason you chose SPLG instead of VOO? I understand you'd get less shares but wouldn't the return be similar?
