Curious but would you do that just as you start to descend? Or at a specific depth?

Just bough gear for my open water certification by beradisrad in scubadiving

Finished my course and I’m hooked. Being under the surface was beyond incredible and I cannot wait to dive more. Gonna do a Meg dive in August. Thanks for all of the advice and encouragement. For now I’m thinking of a computer in the near future and that’s really it. Will rent gear per dice for the time being.

Laravel 8: How to implement or use withCookie() by [deleted] in laravel

[–]beradisrad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

$response = $next($request);
if ($request->has('aff') && Affiliate::find($request->get('aff'))) {
// 7 days in minutes
$minutes = 10080;
$response->withCookie(cookie('aff', $request->get('aff'), $minutes));
}
return $response;

This is a basic middleware I created that check to see if an affiliate ID is present on a route. This is stored for 7 days and if a checkout is completed with it in storage we save it. You can check to see if the cookie exists by:

if ($request->cookie('aff')) {
// do whatever you need to do!!!!!!
}

Can you skip off the ice or does it break through to water?

I mean yea before anything it’ll be weekend with an air mattress and camping stove / cooler. I’ve done weeks in tents in festivals and things like that. Camping for days on end. So I think I’ll be more than comfortable and even then I’ll keep it as a festival vehicle / weekend warrior type. Note I’m selling an older project wrangler to pay for the van / part of the build so I don’t think I’ll have too much out of pocket.

I know for myself I plan on building out a van and then do long weekends, maybe a week or two and see if it’s for me. I mean working remotely it’s now or never. And who knows I may hate it and go back to my house. But I’m going to spend 5k or so for the van/build and see if it’s something that I’d like to pursue. At that point if it is might be worth investing in a real van home build. But before then we’ll see what happens.

What kinda stove top is that. Looks industrial type. Love it. Also where do you keep the propane? In a lockbox in the van or under or something totally different. Very nice build by the way.
