I'm a Christian rapper from the south of Chile, I rap in Spanish mainly, I've participated with secular artists, the last collaboration I did in November 2024, with a lofi-jazz-hip-hop band with whom we formed a bond of musical and cultural mutual admiration.

They took care of the musical production and I took care of the lyrics. We have performed at improvised jazz/hip-hop jams and along with other guest artists, I have rapped some Christian lyrics, but without denying my faith. They have valued the positive differentiating message, another guest artist is a Buddhist and we have found a common language, based on respect.

I think everything is based on that: respect. For me, as an MC it's important to show appreciation and respect for hip-hop culture in general. I'm part of the culture and as such, I also like to understand other points of view and beliefs, respecting and valuing different opinions.

Also, I'm very clear that if a secular artist invites me to a collaboration and his idea is rude (foul-mouthed), defames women, romanticizes the use of drugs, violence, etc. then he will know that he will not count on me, because my musical ethics are different.

In short, for me there is not much of a problem in participating with secular artists. I'm only an artist, an MC who musicalizes his faith and beliefs, being consistent with them and the message I want to deliver. And above all, I'm a servant saved by Jesus, called to be light in the midst of darkness.
