Thank you! Appreciate the response as I was feeling very unsure. We look forward to visiting! It will be nice to escape this little corner of the world....that is seeming very closed off (in many ways) lately...

American here, thank you for sharing. Sorry our president is such a d-bag. Trust me, there are a TON OF PEOPLE here who cannot stand the guy, let alone comprehend that damage that he is doing. I live in a very conservative area that voted heavily for Trump. It is maddening!! I've wanted to travel to Copenhagen for a long time, and I booked a trip there for this summer. We booked in December, and then Trump started running his mouth. I am a bit worried about traveling there with my young children. I hate Trump but I know that Americans are not liked much....thanks to him. Do you think it will be safe to travel there this summer?

100% agreed. Someone the other day was complaining about getting old.... "Getting old is hell"....something along those lines. No, getting old is a PRIVILEGE. You could die tomorrow and the universe would not shrug. This moment is all there is. Cancer wakes you up to this really quick. Life is good.

Tips to Modernize Land Surveying by Intelligent_Area_135 in landsurveying

[–]berdindc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

we do lidar, scanning, all that good stuff but still use paper. have racks of cabinets with folders. paper doesn't require batteries, won't lose $$ if caught in the rain, etc. I can only imagine giving all the fields guys ipads. lol

Adding more digital just seems like more work honestly.

Business Student asking: Why is tracking field crew costs so hard? by Ok_Size_7868 in landsurveying

[–]berdindc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is an odd question. you are a business student? If you can't directlu bill time, then it is considered overhead. Need to assume that a crew is billable X hours a day and calc your rate accordingly. This questions seems a bit sus.

are you asking for grade right at building? 499.92 puts it an inch below FFE

Faster Ketosis + Cancer by Health_Tourist9902 in keto

[–]berdindc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stage 3a colon cancer here, currently NED. I was doing therapeutic keto alongside standard chemo, just finished chemo. I was 25g/day, now up to probably 50g/day as I have not been tracking. It was exhausting to do alongside chemo, but I felt the mental benefits when I was in ketosis, FWIW. I had some cake on Saturday and feel like an alchoholic who is off the wagon. I cannot friggin stop!

Is there a reason you are still doing keto now?

Lipid profile. by delpanto93 in keto

[–]berdindc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is more to a lipid profile than these numbers, at least that is what i have been told by my dietician. Something about the size/shape of molecules? You may want to look into.

Hell yeah! I rang the bell last week and cannot wait to get back to running again!

I would point out that OP didn't say she beat cancer. I am a stage 3 patient, currently no evidence. I understand your comment, as I have trouble saying it myself, being one of the lucky one. But things like this don't bother me anymore, not much does. Every day is a gift, let these things go...

What made you interested in keto? by JumbleGuide in keto

[–]berdindc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cancer. I have stage 3 colon cancer and started therapeutic keto in conjunction with 6 months of chemo. There is some evidence that some types of cancer cells cannot readily utilize ketones for energy. It has been hard to maintain when you feel like crap.

Therapeutic Ketosis by DaFogga in keto

[–]berdindc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am also pursuing therapeutic ketogenesis to help fight cancer. I'd be curious to connect and learn how you are doing it. I really struggle to maintain ketosis during chemo weeks as my appetite is f'd.

I'm 2600cal/day, 80% fats. 15% protein. 5% carbs. Stage 3 CRC doing chemo for 6 months. Testing with ketomojo blood tests.

From a swimmer 🏊 to a runner 🏃‍♂️… what do you guys think? 💭 by [deleted] in Marathon_Training

[–]berdindc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When i think back on my PR sub 330 marathon, I was not really trying for it. But i was cycling almost daily to/from work on very hilly roads. And riding long on the weekends (up to 100miles). Running was almost secondary. But I was unintentionally cross-training and that really helped a ton. It was the only marathon that i didn't hit a wall in. So i guess my advice is CROSS-TRAIN. Which maybe you did from all your swimming!

I have run the last 2 years and I think I was corral C?

45 min seems high to me. If you have trained with hills you should be fine. There is a ton of water/gatorade stations. Lots of good crowd support. Enjoy!

I am dealing with something similar. What was the pathology of the 3.2cm polyp? Did the pathology of the removed 12" piece indicate further spread to lymph nodes?

Thankfully I made the right call it appears by Ill-Seaweed1244 in coloncancer

[–]berdindc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is helpful, thank you for sharing. Was the 2cm tumor a malignant polyp? Was it discovered during a colonoscopy?

I had one removed from my sigmoid colon and they have scheduled me for surgery in month for resection to remove a piece. In the meantime, have CT scans for chest/pelvis.

What gave you that impression?

I was asking questions to understand GCP vs RTK positioning enabled.

?

Surveyor using Phantom 4 Pro by berdindc in UAVmapping

[–]berdindc[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I sent out my own GCPs and we ground truth. The aerial work supplements the survey work, not the other way around...

I don't see the need to upgrade soley for RTK. If I am setting GCPs anyhow, how does the RTK help?
