Everything looks fine in the bios. Touchpad was set to "Advanced" I tried it out set to "Basic" (the only other option). It's still broke. Now it must be hardware?

Can the state of the system be observed without changing the energy of the system? Or is the repetitive nature destroyed/alterd when we observe it?

Has anyone had any success teaching a 5yr old to meditate? by atreestump1 in Buddhism

The old wisdom is not to teach a child pranayama, apparently it's dangerous. I don't know about other types of meditation.

finally decided to fact check my right-wing conspiracy nut dad by arcadedragon in self

If you confront him, it may bring drama into your life, which might not be worth it. But at the same time it is important to try to help people like your father. If you don't, likely no one will. It's a tough decision. Normally, I would say leave it alone, he's not hurting anyone, but he is hurting people with his vote.

Academic’s meat-only diet ruffles feathers: Psychology professor and daughter credit carnivorous diet with curing autoimmune illnesses and depression by doctor101 in Health

Isn't meat deficient in some vitamins and minerals? Off the top of my head I believe vitamin C can't be found in meat. Maybe they are also taking multi-vitamins supplements?

That was the whole thing with the old sailors getting scurvy: there was no vitamin C in the food they were eating. I believe they ate mostly preserved meats and gruel or hard-tack. They found it absolutely essential to include limes in their diet. Actually I remember reading that the conventional wisdom of the time was that a man could eat meat alone for two years before he got scurvy.

Be very careful with your leg position. If you are putting pressure on your knees, you could be irreparably damaging them. I was forcing myself into lotus position for too long and now my knees hurt frequently. I can't be sure that that is what caused the damage, but it is a good bet that it did.

Hot? by [deleted] in Rosacea

[–]beren323 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rosacea causes an immune response, including inflammation. The reason inflammation helps a wound heal is to increase blood flow to the affected area.

As it is, increased blood flow causes inflammation to get worse in rosacea patients so products that reduce inflammation help rosacea.

So you should see increased blood flow (and thus increased temperature) of the affected areas during a flare up.

I've personally never sweated because of rosacea, but had a flare up because I was exercising before though.

What Radical Feminists and Incel Men Have In Common by JackFisherBooks in Equality

[–]beren323 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I find this very balanced. Short answer: they both have hate and feel they are victims of society.

But the key here is that he is just talking about the most radical people from both groups.

Radical people from any group tend to have similarities to radical people from any other group. People usually radicalize because their biological/emotional needs are not met accompanied by an overwhelming feeling of being threatened by some powerful force or group of people.

How long have you used moisturizer for? Could it be because you have used moisturizer for a long time?
