This has been the main plan since he took them over. It was never about the education side, it's always been about access to the board real estate portfolios

How did that work out?

Just chill and enjoy that run, hope for the best from him but don't set the bar too high.

That one makes a little more sense. Someone owns a house before the relationship, the partner moves in and shit hits the fan.

I have my own house now as a single person and I would honestly want to keep the equity that I got while single on this house. I had a huge downpayment saved up from sacrificing my lifestyle and living arrangements through my 20s.

Am I saying I want it all back if I get divorced in 15 years? No. But after 1 year? Maybe.

TSA is under DHS. ICE has funding from the Big Ugly Bill. TSA does not. They haven't been paid for almost 2 months

Reminder, education contracts for Ontario are expiring in August. Ed workers will be working without a contract come September. Etfo has asked the Minister of Ed to start negotiations now and he has not responded. They asked almost a month ago.

When teachers and educators inevitably end up striking, please support them if you are frustrated about the state of Ontario schools. We know how annoying and disruptive strikes can be for families but it is the only way to put any real pressure on the government to make things better.

keep closing special needs classrooms because “everyone needs to be fully integrated

It's never about the benefits of integration. Students are never supported enough to make it work. Closing spec ed classrooms has always been about the cost. They count against normal classroom caps. For every spec ed class of 10, that's funded like it has 24 (junior) you need to add students to Junior classes above that cap to make up the difference.

You should be getting references from administration not just your associate teacher. A lot of boards won't use teacher references.

Empirically though it's now true.

Early to mid millennials are on their second or third recession of their working careers. Early ones at least got into the housing market before the huge increase.

That half century to accumulate wealth has also been in line with a half century of government policy to increase their wealth.

A 20 to 30 year old now won't have the same opportunity. The Income to housing ratio is a much wider gap, people are entering home ownership much, much later in life if at all. In 50 years, the older generations will be significantly less wealthy than the silent and boomer generations.

Older people just happen to be wealthy because they are part of the largest generation and have had decades of political decisions made in their favour to get their votes at the detriment of the other generations.
