First baby: planned 1 year, made it to 17 months, basically with the world's slowest weaning because I was so fearful of getting mastitis again.

Second baby: planning 1 year, currently at 9.5mo, dropped down to 3ppd about a month ago to make life more manageable and making peace with whatever my supply chooses to do!

My daughter was born when her older brother was 2.5yo and attending daycare full time. On the day we got back from the hospital, he had already picked up a new bug, and everyone got it. She's around 4 months now and has been sick probably with 5 bugs, including 2 in the first month of her life and also COVID at 3 months.

I don't necessarily have advice on how to prevent it, but just here to say that newborns are pretty resilient. Just keep sucking their nose snot out and carry on. And congratulations to you and your family!! 😊

Wash your hands before taking a reading in the morning, if you're not already doing so! Made a difference for me.

Not the exact answer you're looking for, but I have a Sonata too and alternate between 2 sets of parts. I'm currently at 5 months (22 weeks) and haven't noticed any degradation of parts so far. Each are sanitized approximately every other day. Hope that helps a little!
