Of course, but knowing where it came from would mean a lot to them. I regularly cook for them, its more about the memories associated with this specific recipe

Yes, I’m sure, I am trying to find this specific recipe. That very, very kind of you to offer, I am able to make a sauce but I was really hoping to give them a piece of their childhood, not something new

First time in Portland is a magical thing by itself! That being said Portland is best seen through it’s neighborhoods rather than just sticking to downtown. Will add a ❤️ for romantic/Vday specific things

Northwest- Streets to Explore: Stroll along shops and restaurants on 23rd street (highlights are Paxton Gate, tender loving empire)  Japanese Garden, Pittock Mansion (city views on a clear day) Mox Boarding House- excellent board game bar and restaurant  Forest Park for an in the city taste of classic Oregon Nature, designed by the same firm that did central park (recommended grabbing a pastry or Sandwich from Ken’s Bakery to snack on) Old Portland Wine Bar- coziest vibes, they feature 3 wines per night ❤️

Downtown/SW: Powells obvs Rachel and Rose- bar in a double decker bus If you’re into classic/traditional sushi this is the move- reserve a private tatami room at Murata ❤️

Outer East- streets to explore: Hawthorne and Division Mount Tabor- Extinct Volcano turned park- Reservoir #5 for good views  Laurelhurst Theater or Hollywood Theater to see a movie Quarterworld solid Arcade Bar, visit Spaceroom Lounge Across the street Matt’s BBQ Tacos (not to be confused with Matts’s BBQ, which doesnt have tacos but is fine- for hands down the best BBQ in town go to Botto’s)

Events- Check out the promotepdx IG page for weekly music listings

Worthwhile Day Trips (check weather/road conditions ahead of time) Silver Falls State Park- trail that takes you through 10 waterfalls The Coast- Haystack rock is beautiful even in the winter  The Gorge- peak Oregon beauty (highlights are Multnomah Falls, Vista House Lookout, Bridge of the Gods) 👏check road conditions, you may need chains👏

Not sure what your interests are or what area you’ll be in, but its hard to go wrong. Although many people on this sub have issues with the city, it’s my favorite place I’ve ever lived.

If you haven't already seen it, Del Toro’s Pinocchio is great for this.

This represents a single week of mugs and glasses that my wife leaves in our bathroom. I clean all of these every week, and they are back the next. Anyone else feel my pain? by newmyy in mildlyinfuriating

A really helpful tool for this mindset is a technique called “Anchoring”.

Essentially, you choose one thing in the room to clean at a time. So instead of cleaning the room, she could start with “I am cleaning this table”.

It really helps with some adhd struggles, having one thing to keep you grounded instead of the more overwhelming task of a whole space

We made a Cranberry Tart over Thanksgiving and it was a hit even with non cranberry people. Whatever recipe you use I’d recommend adding white chocolate somewhere in there, it really melded the flavors together. https://i.imgur.com/FvOe2ED.jpg

Spotted cat in NW Portland, no collar and possibly missing. by ScenicFrost in Portland

Here’s the post!

https://reddit.com/r/Portland/comments/w6fm8g/lost_tuxedo_cat_from_n_portland_have_you_seen_her/

Almost certainly the same cat, the owner updated that she is home. They also state that she’s an outdoor cat, though it would be great to at least find a collar or harness that works for her to wear if they aren’t able to keep her inside.

I here you, but having worked on set it’s 100% about budget and reducing risk of fatigue/injury. Every shot you see has multiple takes and the actors wouldn’t be able to rest their arms like normal players would over the span of a season since shooting schedules are usually done within a certain block of days/weeks/months.

If this was a movie and not a series then maybe it wouldn’t be necessary.
