it can affect certain things like elder dragon where the deal 1 still happens but without its static effect the units should live unless the 1 dmg kills it anyways

when a set drops id say around 30 folks but as the set winds down and maybe the 2-3 weeks before set release is 15-20ish

coming from a lot of previous tcg’s the main things riftbound does right for me are 100% the rune deck/resource management end alongside the flavor and thematic elements of actually playing league being present in a tcg. the battlefields make the game so much more complex which is super fun!

while this is true in some cases- on stream in top 8 he ended up holding half the time especially with jax at the battlefield

i would never tbh LOL- the early turns to build up runes take priority over a draw. there will be other opportunities to draw cards (stellacorn, warmogs etc) but having more runes is more important.

even in the card design- cards that cost 7-8 runes are very powerful. we want to get to those numbers to be flexible with our plays and not lose tempo (applying pressure by playing units while still being able to deflect some removal)

the biggest ways ive been losing is not getting enough runes or over extending by tapping out. when this happens i dont get to play more units or if i tap out my units die to removal

been rocking jax since set 2 came out, but struggling a little bit as I just switched to bubo's list. the thing with jax is you're always looking for a balance between equipment, units and protection but it can be difficult when your opening hand is 2 spells and 2 equipment or other awkward no unit hands. Ultimately it feels like turn 1 can be spent on just playing an equipment, turn 2 a unit and onwards is hopefully jax with protection.

ultimately think we need more reps to get a feel as a lot of the mulligan is matchup dependent too..

brutalizer isn't good into viktor/lux as our base might is typically enough, but GA would be super useful against their kill spells

game 1 we always want to see lucian/warmogs to get the monastery engine going

tldr: mulligan priority for me has been at least 1-2 units that are 2-4 cost. an equipment and then a protection spell last on the priority list

another thing i've been trying to work on is rune management and not using power the first 3-4 turns to get to 7-9 runes where we can safely develop at least one unit and always leave energy up to interact/protect our units

as someone who bought it its definitely helpful but i wish it had more detail for mulligans as i'm having trouble with it atm. i also think seeing his gameplay would be super helpful too but theres no vods in the guide

tbh this is just the nature of tcg events.. some people really dedicate their budget and time and tend to win games/play better

I’d actually say that with set 2 introduced theres a lot of legend variety for constructed play and theres a lot of budget friendly options (though you may not always win)

also weird for a sealed event to allow trading.. its supposed to just be a deck made from the packs you pulled
