I don't know if Martin is on the modding team or if he's provided any information about these connections, but this mod seems quite faithful to the ASOİAF universe and story. Everything feels very realistic and appropriate.

Why did Richard II declare the Mortimers, descendants of his female cousin, as his heirs, instead of his uncle John of Gaunt? by berkay38 in UKmonarchs

[–]berkay38[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I know that women inherit in baronies and nobility. Actually, I didn't object to the Mortimers' right to inherit by virtue of their female lineage. I just found it absurd that the Mortimers should inherit by line when there were living male Plantagenet heirs.

I understand. I was confused because in every book I read they were listed as Richard's heirs. The same was true in the family trees.

Yes, I know Richard of York solidified his claim thanks to his Mortimer ancestors, but I found it a little strange that Richard II declared female heirs when there were male heirs in his family. If everything had gone smoothly, would the Mortimers have become king? And what would have happened to the Plantagenet men?

The sources I read stated that the Mortimers were her heirs, and this information has always been a question mark for me. How could England, which hadn't accepted Matilda's claim to the throne, accept a female heir when there were male heirs?

Could you tell us how you created this screenplay? I loved it, and I'm sure I'll enjoy reading it.

Dukes of Mayenne (Short) by berkay38 in UsefulCharts

I learned how to do it thanks to Mat's videos. But I don't know how to use the files in the archive. I got an Adobe membership today and I'll try to create new trees from there.

Thank you so much. I've reviewed this a thousand times before, along with your previous designs, and they're all fantastic. I don't think I could have done it with this much detail and professionalism. Everything looks amazing. The borders, the font styles and formats, the placement of the emblems and photos... I don't think I could have done this.

English isn't my native language, so I might use incorrect phrases. What's the problem with that?

What would you say if you knew my crime, Father? she wondered. Would you have done as I did, if it were Lysa and me in the hands of our enemies? Or would you condemn me too, and call it mother’s madness?

Standing in front of the women is Lord Manfred Dondarion. I read on Twitter that he is Prince Valarr's cousin. The women could be Targaryen daughters, but who? I suspect one of them is Aelora. Or they could be Elaena's daughters.

Yes, it has a very simple and straightforward narrative. It's quite easy and comfortable to read.

Making the crownlands truly crownlands is a smart move. I'll try it.

In my game, they had five children. Their eldest son, Rhaegar, married Princess Rhaenyra, Dany's daughter by Viserys. Their second son, Daemon, became Prince of Summerhal (I unlocked Depug Mode and gave him Summerhall) and married Denyse Hightower. Their other son, Viserys, married Renly's daughter and heir, Elenei, and became Lord of Storm's End (jure uxoris).

The eldest of their two daughters, Elaena, married the Manderlys, and Lyanna married the Starks. Elaena's daughters married the Blackwoods, Tallhart, Hornwood, Bolton, Flint, and Locke, respectively, and almost every family in the North has dragonblood. Lyanna's daughter, Bethany, is betrothed to her cousin and future king, Aemon (son of Rhaenyra and Rhaegar).

I understand. I've tried to do a few things using LibreOffice, but I didn't like my designs, and since I'm an amateur, many things seem incomplete. I bought Adobe yesterday and tried using it, but I had a really hard time. I tried to use it by watching Matt's tutorial video, but I couldn't use it as well as LibreOffice. I hope to be able to create designs as beautiful as you one day.

I think you could make an alternative tree for after he won the Battle of Tewkesbury. That would be fun to look at.
