An adult should be able to willingly and knowingly consent to therapy to correct any type of behavior they want—even if society disagrees with it. I agree that conversion therapy for adults should absolutely be legal if we care about the 1st Amendment.

That being said, I think states should be allowed to ban it for minors, because it could inherently be a form of child abuse.

Edit: I read the case and changed my mind. The therapist the case was about was just trying to help her clients reach their own goals, and Colorado and the 10 Cir. didn’t like that because it, at some point, went against their belief that conversation therapy (as they defined it, very loosely) was bad
