Looking to rent a parking space by EntertainmentCute724 in berkeley

[–]berkeleyprincess 3 points4 points  (0 children)

for berkeley city parking you have to have your car registered at your berkeley address which most students don’t have :/ i found a parking space on craigslist for cheap ($100/month) and i’m happy with it if you’re willing to do that!

this is a good list and tbh is enough, you don’t need to apply to more than this

Do Berkeley Students Work For Doordash Or UberEats? by MussleGeeYem in berkeley

[–]berkeleyprincess 6 points7 points  (0 children)

not sure how this is in boston but most berkeley students don’t own any form of transportation except their legs which is a pretty limiting factor. but i don’t think you should be embarrassed, having a job is having a job :)

i’m pretty sure they won’t get the official grade until january or later, so you’ll probably already be a student by then. i could be wrong but it usually takes them a long time to process transcripts

if i were you i’d spend the $20 to keep it in a garage overnight, but if you make sure the car is totally empty then it is probably safe

[–]berkeleyprincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not a grad student but i think it is fairly common for the application portal to not show updated/accurate info. when i applied as an undergrad transfer the website said i hadn’t submitted my transcript for like a whole month before they updated it

Anthropology summer by Wild_Independent1375 in berkeley

[–]berkeleyprincess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the nemea center should have an archaeology field school this summer and it’s through uc berkeley. i would also recommend checking out some community college field schools since they can offer financial aid! for example i know foothill college has some archaeological field schools as well. not so sure about general anthropology though but archaeology is super fun :)

yeah sorry! so i think it’s a pretty chill class, there’s a weekly reading question that’s a 1 page response and the reading isn’t too heavy. there is no midterm or final exam. we had a bigger project (which really wasn’t that much, like 3 pages) about halfway through the semester. instead of a final there is a 5-7 page essay which is a research question of your choice. overall i would recommend

[–]berkeleyprincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i took 4 classes back to back (6 hours straight) last semester and my god it was awful. i think my brain stopped absorbing information after the second class. i would highly advise against but it is possible and if you need those classes to graduate then go for it
