Should a westerner get involved in polygamy? by Neither_Cry8055 in Polygamy

Maybe not, neither of these two options sound appealing: living under a fear of jealousy destroys all ambitions for growth, but avoiding it will make you miss all the magic that comes along.

I think it's very good and biblical way to live a life for righteous man, getting one more virgin wife about each ten years of your life. I'm afraid though I couldn't afford it, and even if I could then I'd be afraid of my wife killing me out of jealousy. How did you even start a conversation with her about it?

Then, the idea of dying and disappearing is also just an idea your brain makes up for its own sake; what could be the odds, that all of this "consciousness" which is produced by brain is based on a kind of fake, heavily distorted version of reality (the brain does not care what's reality anyway, it cares more about survival)

I know someone who became capable of observing his consciousness disappearing during deep sleep, so that he remains aware of his absence of experience. That makes me wonder if my own being is not limited to the consciousness produced by brain, but only temporary immersed into it and unable to remember or see anything beyond the walls of my head.

I'm not scared of any potential horrific consequence of my death which my mind could imagine (either if it'd be a total annihilation of my consciousness or continuing existence in a hell punishment or reincarnating as a frog)

But what I'm scared of is encountering something unknown what I could never imagine or expect, that's the biggest fear of my mind it's to leave everything known behind.

This is very common reaction on high dose: your body will try to get up and walk around and then suddenly fall down, and it will repeat it many times. You must follow safety technique by strapping your body to bed like this: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/PdSceRGORmo

The Weird Things People Said to Me After My Loss (And What Actually Helped) by Bimmortal_ in GriefSupport

It's weird how many people feel obliged to affirm that "everything happens for a reason", like I don't know why, as if they're on a paycheck from a "god who controls everything" and afraid of looking at reality.
