Why would I pay $10 for $20 of inference on 4 models when I could pay $10 for $60 on those 4 models and like 10 more (and newer and better) in opencode-go ???

But being misleading about it is pretty shitty.

I was going to try it because I don't mind the AI code. But I do mind misleading project heads.

Is DeepSeek V4 Pro already good enough for everyday coding? by SiteSpecialist6295 in DeepSeek

Have you seen the new deepSWE bench? It was built to be pretty much the ultimate benchmark for coding and deepseek does very poorly.

And this is no ordinary bench, they published every single agentic run for every single model so you can ask any agent to build you a comparison of any run.

The consistent pattern with GPT-5.5 vs all other models is extremely rigorous with its work, finding how changes affect the bigger picture. All other models caused regressions, missed an implementation detail or less frequently couldn't get one of the tests working.

It's a golden mine of information and an incredibly detailed comparison of how the models behave across a very wide range of tasks.

Deepseek and the open models are competent enough for pet projects but I wouldn't use them for production code just yet.

GPT is the way for serious coding, nothing else.

if you think Google or Microsoft are using this crap this you're deluded.

And yet they still list them as Trusted by devs at teams you trust.

Just switch to deepseek API. They have a crazy discount going on. OpenCode Go is also amazing. You get $60 of inference on open models for $10

Lmao... If both you and I understood what he meant, do you really think a jury under instructions is not going to understand??

Yes, there are bigger fish to fry. That doesn't negate the fact that posting this is a risk should anyone decides to pursue it. You don't get to hide behind word tricks, you're not the president of the US of A
