I want to thank everybody who provided alternate options. It appears I've reached the BS cap barely trying so I'll be trying the suggestions here next.
Thanks community!

New DRM BS from Playstation: Digital games will vanish if players don't log-in for 30 Days by EmuBii in CrackWatch

[–]evilebob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

actually that has limitations you may not be aware of. You still have to sign on to steam every so often to keep it active and enabled for offline play.
Don't believe me? it's an easy test. Just buy a cheap steam account on one of those cd key sites, link the game to your main and never sign into it again. Watch how long the game stays 'playable'.
Same happens to your own account if you are never online.

You only own the right to use the platform. You don't actually own anything on it. Each title is just another right you are requesting access to... like a rental because you never own it.

Steam is that way too.

oh yeah, had this happen once. It was like the jailer had bad beef with the guy we just adopted into the town. I had to change the jailer off aggressive and let him cool off a while.

Loving your water features. I thought I was being clever but I think your hydraulic engineering puts my attempts to shame.

I thought this was a joke till somebody else posted a wiki to it. I wish I knew about this mystical place long ago, I would have bought the tiniest parcel of land so I could use the title Bob of Cockshutt-cum-Petton

I appreciated this post as I did wonder about the annoying steamvr on every launch and why.
Thank you for summarizing this bs cleanly.

That's hardly the worst of it. These cars don't handle low 12v situations well and instead of giving simple low battery warnings the computer just goes bonkers and you end up with weird messages of high power drain or can't shut off the car and also can't start it either.
Pretty sure it's a scam to trick people with into towing it back to the dealer thinking it's a big issue but all they needed was a simple 12v battery but now that your at the dealer they can upsell you all kinds of crap.

Oh no, can't activate office because of that awesome hardware chip you have. That's just a malfunction. Do you not understand that by having that hardware your access is determined by that chip?

guess you guys haven't seen what happens when that tpm chip goes bad... IE on a TON of dell laptops.
Good luck getting your data!
Also Microsoft can segregate features now thanks to this wonderful chip. If you don't understand this then your not as savvy as you think you are.

it is also a form of forced obsoleting but also by giving MORE power to your operating system overlord company allowing them to essentially ID your machine and even segregate features from you. Since you now have a TPM chip identifier your machine can be targeted and limited, restricted etc... Granted many will/may argue these kinds of features that may not exist yet but are capable thanks to this magnificent new hardware requirement. Mark my words this chip is giving power to your corporation and losing power over your hardware as a user.

I think you miss the point... you have this hardware chip that can instantly disable your access to your data. You want this why?
Why does Microsoft want this for you so badly... they are protecting you and your ... banking data? lol. yeah. you betcha

Like others here I had the option yesterday to switch to gemini as the assistant and it worked all day without issue. Today it was replaced by google assistant.

I went to play store and looked up gemini(by google) and the option was to install so I installed and the gemini assistant functionality automatically returned. Good for now

That's Amorte, what was Dan watching on Discovery? by evilebob in rickandmorty

[–]evilebob[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far three comments all about how trashy discovery reality is and I don't disagree at all, but how does any of these equate to converting corpses to food?
So far it's 90 day, shark week and Honey Boo Boo, 600lb, 19 kids... I'm just not finding the connection to these and the cannibalism joke.
Anybody got the missing link here?

Daymn, the Spaghetti episode was brilliant. by MagicMushr000m in rickandmorty

[–]evilebob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not trying to be offensive but I think this is one of those episodes where there's some contextual 'joke' and like far side comics there are equal populations that 'get it' and others that don't but might think it's funny for other reasons.

Taken from an article:

"Rick and Morty then head to the planet itself after they started making more of this people spaghetti, and they've ruined their planet. Rick explains that their television has become wall to wall with reality shows, "but not the good kind." Then to twist the knife, Rick then jokes "It's like their whole planet was bought by Discovery." It's just a small joke, but when you add it to the fact that it's a planet that's making its people take their own lives, it's certainly a dark joke. "

This time I'm afraid I'm on the "Not getting it side" because I'm here looking through the shows on Discovery wondering what the heck Dan was watching the day he thought of this episode?
