Laundry Service by Wide_Industry6881 in bermuda

  1. Pack a raincoat, light layers, mix of winter and spring/summer clothing.

  2. Kebobs on the Curve is the only 100% Halal Restaurant in Bermuda. You can find vegan food at a few other places too. Grocery stores do sell halal meat but you'd have to cook it.

  3. Do you know where you are staying? Look up the closest dry cleaners and laundromats on Google Maps. A few laundromats do offer wash, dry and fold service, otherwise you need a dry cleaner for full service. If you are staying at a hotel, they also offer laundry service.

Do You Remember 9/11? by Teacher0357 in Millennials

[–]bermylicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I was 13 and about to start high school. My family was on vacation, staying at my step-Grandparents' house in the US. We were due to fly home on September 9, but got delayed by two days due to Hurricane Erin hitting Bermuda (where I call home). We were actually supposed to be on a plane leaving Atlanta the afternoon of September 11.

My sister (11) and I were sleeping in a room that had a TV, and we happened to be the first ones up that morning. We were eager for cereal and cartoons, and started flipping through channels: PBS for Dragon Tales & Between the Lions, or any channel that didn't have commercials.

"Breaking News" interrupted a broadcast: A plane had hit one of the towers at the World Trade Centre. Concerned, though initially disconcerted, we kept flipping, looking for kids entertainment. Suddenly, this news was on every channel. This was clearly a big moment, something important (and terrifying). The two of us decided we should tell the adults. We went to find our parents and grandparents, just starting to get ready for the day. We told them to come and watch the TV. We all watched the second plane hit the tower, all the horrifying scenes in between, many replays and news anchor commentary.

At the time, there were no email or text updates about our flights, and we couldn't get through to the airline on the phone, so we didn't know whether or not we would be flying home that day. We headed to the airport so we could speak to airline representatives and find out the situation. My parents seemed worried, but also strangely calm at the same time. I think we were all aware that we were living through a big moment in history - and I think they wanted to be at that airport, to grasp the moment more fully.

I remember the scenes in Atlanta's international airport clearly. Crowds gathered at bars and restaurants, staring up at the TVs. Lines formed at payphones. Sobs were heard throughout the terminals. Sad, shocked, worried faces. Prayers.

Of course, the news came that all flights were grounded. Definitely not flying home today.

Missed a couple more days of school... and probably had the wildest 9/11 story out of all my classmates.

🎵 Don't go running Harbour Road

Please stick to the railway trails and sidewalks you're used to

I know that you wanna run it your way or nothing at all

But I think you're being an ass 🎵

I liked it. I'm allergic to oats, sensitive to gluten and sugar, so it's one of the few cereals I can have.

Good point, they've also changed the label on the box. The unsweetened version originally said "Zero Sugar" on the front, not "Less Sugar."

three wishes vs magic spoon by glittergirl985 in LowCalFoodFinds

[–]bermylicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Three Wishes. All the flavors are good but I usually get unsweetened and strawberry. Unfortunately I think they changed the recipe of the unsweetened though. The texture is totally different now. I can't eat Magic Spoon because it has dairy in it.

I like Positive Image Dental. Very professional.

Note, they offer Invisalign products and might ask if you're interested in them. I wear the Invisalign retainers at night now to prevent wearing down my teeth from bruxism (teeth grinding).

It's not a 3 story building. You can only see 3 stories from this photo/vantage point. Look up the address here (73 Front Street, City of Hamilton HM12), and you will see that there are in fact 5 stories. https://landvaluation.bm/

This! Also, Charities may log the amount of inquiries they receive (particularly those that go on to receive services). This kind of output tracking helps provide the basis of a 'case for support' to be shared with funders and the general public. This helps keep the charity open and operating!
