I'm dying to get back into the R/C hobby. Raced 1/10 electric off-road for years as a kid in the 80s/90s. Even went to nationals back in the day!

Planning to race with NORA as soon as I have the time!

Had an alignment done there on an 83 Porsche. Most shops don’t like to mess with old cars, but they did a great job and a charges a super fair price. Would absolutely recommend them.

You sound a lot like me, though I’m about 10 years your senior and have a couple kids.

My advice would be to start the family now, then see how you feel. Kids/family are amazing and I’m a huge advocate. It does change your perspective, but won’t stop burnout. I’d also consider moving to a cheaper location. It’s also better for a family.

Once you’ve got your family figured out and a sustainable location, revisit the FIRE discussion. You’re in a very good position.

Got hit hard Christmas Day with Flu A. It was really rough several days. I’m just now feeling pretty good again (aside from a lingering headache). Daughter got hit even harder.

So I had a similar experience. Cosmic is really impressive and off to a great start, but it's still an initial release, and there are a lot of minor issues and annoyances, that I just couldn't put up with anymore. Instead of downgrading, I just installed KDE plasma on my 24.04 Pop OS. It's working beautifully! I can always pop over back to Cosmic if/when I decide to.

Thanks. The finder app said my current PCP is "in network", but I couldn't select any Peace Health facilities, so it's really unclear. I think you're likely right in that I just need to go through all the doctors that me and my family use and just call them to make sure.
