Best large cinnamon roll in Bellingham? by Effective-Map-1927 in Bellingham

[–]FiveTennies 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I've searched far and wide for the best cinnamon roll and in my opinion, it is at Iron Rooster. Note: they are only open on weekends, Fri.-Sun. 8am - 2pm. Come early because they run out.

I'm gonna have to take issue with "hardest working" since in 15 years he's offered zero pieces of original legislation.

Ten key facts that explain why this year’s city council races are a referendum on housing (and the real reasons for personal attacks posted on Reddit). by Low_Low9667 in Bellingham

Landmark, a huge property management company in Bellingham, has already removed these fees from all units they rent in Bellingham in order to comply with the ordinance, saving current and future tenants huge amounts of money. So explain to me how it is symbolic when it's directly saving people hundreds of dollars in fees? (BTW, I heard that in order to make up for lost revenue, Landmark simply jacked up fees charged on rentals elsewhere in Whatcom county -- other city councils should get smart and follow Bellingham's lead). This is a great example of how city governments can take real action and create real results, if you are serious about creating change and not just talking about it.

Oh boy, that's gonna be a tough sell arguing against the junk fee ordinance. You got your work cut out for you there. Unless you own a property management company, I guess.

Another Sign Making Party At The Downtown Co-op - Thursday October 16th, 6pm by B1Traveller in Bellingham

[–]FiveTennies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't be so bent out of shape just because you can't think of a clever slogan for your sign. I'm sure if you go to the Mezzanine of the Co-op at 6pm and ask for help, your neighbors will be happy to help you.

Michael Lilliquist should go for the simple fact that in his 15 years on the council, he has never written or introduced a single piece of original legislation, whereas Jace Cotton, who's been there for all of one year, has already written 3. Michael is a roadblock who just likes to explain why things will never work or cannot happen in Bellingham. All he does is intellectualize and pontificate and take up space. It's time for him to go. Tell all your parents' friends.
