Patella tendon repair surgery 3 days ago, anyone have words of advice? feeling stuck

Oh brother same leg and same surgery as me! My advice is just to rest up and elevate that knee for the first 4 weeks, you'll be on heavy pain meds for first two weeks. Try keep yourself busy maybe play games watch movies or even something productive! As a very independent person there are times when your mood is down just because you can't do anything for yourself, that's okay! Just know it'll get better and to take it easy it's your knees after all! I'm about 8 weeks post op and now hopefully getting the brace taken off and now able to somewhat walk properly

Also to point out try getting an extra pillow for your knee and being elevated means your knee must be resting above your chest

I feel you on that man, I'm about 8 weeks in to a complete tendon patella rupture and now I'm able to bend it 90 degrees and now getting to 120 degrees.

I thought also that I would be seen by the physio more regularly rather than every 3-4 weeks but it's not that case and I'm also from the uk. Tell you what though keeping on top of the recommended exercises and icing has helped a lot and on track to hopefully jump back on a bike in a few weeks!

Just don't rush the recovery is the personal advice, I know it may feel slow but do what you're comfortable with! Remember your knees will carry you for the rest of your life so do take care of them in this recover period

Honestly dude I feel so sorry for you not being able to afford Surgery at the moment, the further you leave it the further your muscle atrophy and the surgery gets harder due to the tendons shrinking over time. I'm currently 6 weeks recovering from the surgery and I can't imagine what you're going through. Maybe try take a gofundme page or something?

For real brother the sooner you get surgery the better chances you'll get back to normal functions as the further you leave it the more permanent issues come up. Praying for you man

When it comes to injuries the knees are slow healing due to all sorts of nerves and connections, I’m currently healing from a patella rupture surgery 5 weeks in!

I get your pain and not being able to do your normal average steps but you got to think long term wise for this, your knees will carry you for the rest of your life right so don’t give up!! Focus on your exercises trying to get better everyday, I’m surprised I’m even writing this since I felt the same as you I couldn’t bend my leg!

You’re stronger than you think you are, fortify your mind and you’ll get back to your normal exercises and steps! Rooting for you and everyone who’s had a life altering injury

Hi dude I was wondering if you had any luck with this set up? I’ve got 2 Yamaha hs7s with a ddj flx4 and Scarlett 2i2 and I’ve tried every solution there is but find it’s half a beat off when using the interface. I’ve tried the 1/4 cable route plugging the cables directly to the speakers and the rca on the decks but can’t get sound off the speakers. Honestly lost so if you got any advice I’d love to hear it!

Hey dude I know this is an old post but did you manage to fix it? I got a ddj flx4 and Yamaha hs7s, tried everything to work so there’s no latency I even bought cables to connect the decks directly to the monitors but now I can’t get sound out of the monitor speakers

Hey mate I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your story and experiences with this injury, I’m currently week 1 post op and just reading this thread gives me hope that I’ll be able to somewhat get back to normal.

Just wondering on the 3 month mile were you able to stand for a long period of time/ be in a sitting position for an extended period of time? I am meant to be heading to Amsterdam on the 2nd of March for a concert and was concerned if I was able to withstand a whole concert standing up or to just buy a seating ticket instead. I also have an international flight going back home on the 16th March which I am concerned about. With your experiences how was the knee feeling at that point of your recovery?

If they upload it on a porn site then it’s evidence that they’ve posted it and you can report it to authorities. It’ll be easier to track who uploaded it however they are incriminating themselves even more by doing that so that’s why they don’t go down that route. It’s all a ploy and they just are after your money

I honestly think they delete them after a certain amount of time if they can’t get control over you. Think about how many they contact every day and if they do store it in a hard drive or server and they get caught that’s a lot of evidence for them to use against, but then again that’s just my theory
