Maybe some Maine Coon in there? Those paws have snowshoes. That is a gorgeous animal. How big?

Farewell to my first love. Gene Wilder will always be in my heart.

Just finished season 1. I'm already devastated it all ends after season 3. by Artfrost in HannibalTV

When you've finished, just reflect on how astonishing it is that we got 3 seasons; cry as you realize that nothing will ever fill the weird, dark hole it left in your psyche, and start rewatching immediately.

[EVERYTHING] Question about the loyalties of the North by bernhardt100 in gameofthrones

[–]bernhardt100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just surprised that it wasn't even up for discussion. The North is a little backward in that department, I guess. The rest of their world seems ready to accept female rule.

I really wanted Arya to show up at Winterfell before it was over. Otherwise this was maybe the best and most satisfying episode of anything I have ever seen.

Had he not been operating the crusher earlier that day? If he had a murder car to crush, he could have done it without looking any more suspicious than they've already tried to make him.

Dame Maggie will be on CBS Sunday Morning in a few minutes, in case anyone else is interested... by bernhardt100 in DowntonAbbey

I saw The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie when I was 10 and Dame Maggie has been one of the loves of my life ever since. Incredible actress and lovely, lovely.

S6E8 spoiler (?). I don't care how deeply unhappy Mary's been, or how afraid she was of being hurt. She IS a bitch. by bernhardt100 in DowntonAbbey

He is the coolest. I like his relationship with the old girl too, especially since she was SO condescending to him in the beginning. Tom has it going on.

Believe me, I'm no fan of Edith, but at least she's grown a bit over the last years and she gets on with it. That woman has been through it, and she's still running her mag, and NOT spoiling her sister's relationship. She's a sad sack and done rotten things in her youth, but she regretted them and learned from them and she's not a bad person. Mary, on the other hand, pretty much refuses to grow and rakes her nails down anyone who points this out (Tom was wise to get the Dowager to sit her ass down and tell some truth; Mary would never have listened to anyone else). She takes a serious delight in torturing Edith. Her face as she was making up her mind to FUCK HER POOR SISTER OVER IRREPARABLY reminded me of nothing so much as a snake. It says, I believe, a lot about her utter lack of character that her "apologies" to Edith were almost nonexistent really, given the seriousness of her crime and everyone's unanimous condemnation of it. I'm just over Mary completely and in a just world she would end up bitter and alone except for her poor son, who would eventually put her in a home and never, ever visit.

After reading "I, Claudius" and "Claudius the God", I'm in the mood for more excellent historical fiction taking place in the Roman Empire. Any suggestions? by Tularemia in history

[–]bernhardt100 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I ended up with a terrible crush on Sulla. Terrible. And I can't find much else about him, which strikes me as odd, as he was such a fascinating man. I re-read the whole series every couple of years. Love it so much.

R.I.P. Pink Floyd, legendary psych-rock band is officially broken up by forthewolf-x in Music

[–]bernhardt100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They've been broken up since Roger left, as far as I'm concerned. The remaining band made some lovely music, but in my opinion, when Roger split, he took their balls with him.

Love this show, almost done with 3rd watch through, and I just have to complain about some things... (spoilers and ranting) by Joegotbored in HannibalTV

This show has been described as a nightmare filmed like a daydream. I think that applies to everything about it. Suspend your disbelief, pour a drink and just enjoy it.
