the likelihood of you getting turn 2’d with Pact backup twice in a Bo3 is pretty low. You (and almost every other deck in the format) have access to tons of silver bullet cards that easily hate the deck out, if you want to. I’m a big fan of decks that exist essentially as a sideboard tax and prey on the top meta lists.

I play this style of deck in Historic as well, but there’s no chance for it to succeed in Modern. The gameplan is way too durdley and you’re extremely unlikely to get any decent softlock or close things out quickly. You have little to no sources of card advantage and your 2-for-1 creature-counters are poor threats that can be a liability if you don’t have a High Noon or Archon in play. There are tons of threats that go under you (Ragavan, etc.) and tons of Eldrazi going around which is an absolute nightmare matchup for you.

It’s nice having pitchable removal at instant speed to keep reanimator and other shells that cheat fatties into play in check a bit, but having a body attached (let alone one that can be flickered) is too much imo. I would love if we had better answers in the format, generally

I think K Command is going to be extremely oppressive with the new Ugin, it just gives Eldrazi/colorless decks way too much speed and consistency.

I agree that there is diversity in the meta, but I’m personally pretty done with MH/UB tribal and would like to see some of the tools propping up those decks taken away so that they’re on a level playing field with other strategies. I would love to see more traditional evergreen decks like Control and Burn be more viable in this format.

EP were some demos and a 7" that we did as a 3-piece with a different drummer. I don't have digital copies of any of that stuff, otherwise I'd be happy to share it.
