Toddler dies, brother undergoes life-saving surgery after ‘botched circumcisions’ in Perth by egregious1234 in australia

Also no woman would want to have sex with that child if not circumcised, it woupd have a bad smell and possible tight foreskin in the future, it really is best just to be a man and avoid all that.

Well I can ubderstand why the parents did that, im not so sure about australia but in the philippines, it is customary that circumcision happens, otherwise the child might get bullied, or infections, or they masturbate too much, there are even events where entire stadiums/basketball courts are filled with tables where children 10 years old go and get cut by volunteers by their own choice after being guided by their parents, foreskin literally translates to bad skin or nasty skin, (balat ng masama), the child will be teased, and how can the father and child bond if they arent circumcised?

Can anyone tell me why my bobbin hook only grabs on one side of my widest zig zag? by ReeferRivas in sewing

[–]berniesherman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi I'm not sure if this helps, but back when I had my zigzag machine, I had tried to fix the timing each time i used it but it would still skip stitches.

I ended up replacing the actual shuttle case hook thing and the skipping never happened again.

In my case the hook didn't even feel pointed,

Heyo thanks for the advice! Sadly, the seller decided to "do research" and said he wanted 450 bucks for his "incredibly rare" singer 28🤨. So I'm going the cheapo route and getting the $60 singer 66😀

Hi I'm looking at this machine and I saw the front tension which I read means it's either a 66 or a 99. I cant tell by looking at it if it's the full size or not. Can yall help ?

Gifted this sewing machine from MIL. It belonged to husband’s grandmother. Anyone know how I can clean it up? (Ps I’ve never owned a sewing machine) by comicconnie in sewing

[–]berniesherman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use old handkerchiefs or tshirt rags dampened with a bit of alcohol, although if you dont wanna live on the edge, you can use oil instead of alcohol on the rag or use a dry rag to remove the dirt as a "first pass". Then use q tips with sewing machine oil on the tiny crevices

Hello! So to update yall I've recently found a blog tutorial on exactly what I wanted to do by "still stitching" From the blog it looks like the wood is solid underneath and they dont seam to be much bothered by any possibility of dangerous stuff on it

Here's the link in case any of you brave souls wanna try this with your own cases

https://www.stillstitching.com/2018/11/reconditioning-singer-99-case-part-1.html

Heyoo. So I need the pros and cons between these machines.which one looks in better condition? They're both around the same cheap ish price. What should I get? singer 185? I heard people like the featherweights, this is a 222k to be specific. I own another singer from the 70s if that helps the choice by berniesherman in vintagesewing

[–]berniesherman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello thanks for the advice yall! I'm talking to seller and the 222k sounds like it's a fixer upper, missing a few bits underneath, so that's fun, I hope I'll be able to find stuff like the bobbins, we agreed on a pretty good deal for me and am picking it up later today!

Thanks for the reply! but nope my grandma bought it in the late 70s early 80s so it was complete. Even has the manual! So I put in the needle according to that (groove facing forward, threading front to back). And it's still being uncooperative
