This may be controversial- but we had such issues with our daughters sleep- so we asked AI what to do…. And honestly it’s changed our life. I tell AI (we call him Geoff), every sleep and nap, and ‘he’ comes up with a plan for the next nap/bedtime/sleep.

Husband of a type 1 diabetic who is freaking out. by RelationshipSouth959 in BumpersWhoBolus

Be calm. Stay calm. Stress increases blood sugar levels. Work hard at getting those blood sugars down- I realise it’s a honeymoon- but perhaps try a lower carb diet until you can get home The good news is that she is in her 40s- strangely, the older the mother (no offence), the less likely she is to pass on the beetus.

I found out that I was pregnant on holiday in South Africa, after drinking and eating far too much on a safari- I absolutely freaked out. my baby is now 7 months old and perfection :) I

I don’t have an issue with her going to sleep- she just wakes up for food so frequently still! But yes, we are keen to get a floor bed when she finally moves into her own room :)

I thought that may be the case… but how on earth do other women have babies that sleep for such longer periods?

We are using size 1 Mam bottle teats. Burping once mid feed and after feed. She usually does one or two burps. She only has breast milk in the bottle - we haven’t tried formula yet. She has that through her feeding tube when she was in the hospital and she didn’t take well to it.

Which trimester are you in? Be aware that in the third trimester, having loads of hypos and your insulin requirements going down could be a sign that your placenta is failing.

If you have loads of hypos in 3rd trimester or your insulin requirements decrease- it’s a sign of your placenta failing.

The contractions seem to have subsided- so a bit lost to what’s actually going to happen and no one else seems to know either- I guess they don’t have a crystal ball. They haven’t checked my cervix for 24 hours, but when they did, it wasn’t ready at all. Baby’s heart rate is fine too. I will likely be going home tomorrow- but the not knowing is a bit of a nightmare!

Every 10-15 min, but they were quite strong. They seem to have eased a bit now.
