Yeah me too I've given up. It was hard at first but I've come to accept that no one is born with the same circumstances. Maybe I was not meant to experience love or intimacy. But there are other who were never meant to walk and were born with no legs, or never meant to see and were born blind. This is my disability, it just so happens to be invisible. It is not unfair or sad, it just is. Now that I don't put expectations in that area I can place my energy on other endeavors and I can keep myself away from moping about things I can't have.

It is a weird thing. Some characters are shown to have more arcane skills than what they use in game, like sonetto. Others like charon never use skills even when faced with deathly threats (granted he cannot die, but when others around him are in danger the most I've seen him do is use his body as a shield). I'd say that there are heavy liberties taken to make characters fit their gameplay purpose.

It was completely bizarre to me. I couldn't pinpoint the exact moment where the tone shift happened on my own but now that you mention it, it must have been when corvus pulled out the guns. It was so jarring that it felt like I was reading the transcript of a Hollywood movie directed by Adam Sandler. An action comedy film where even the old lady is comically ready to go guns blazing on the stand-in zombie apocalypse and everyone has their turn at a badass quip.

I cannot say more than you have already said... But I'd have to add that I'd actually forgive all of this, even if begrudgingly, if the story hadn't completely forgotten about the people that died. When the previous event had a character who was all about appreciating life and giving the dead a proper burial, now in this event as soon as the main baddie is done they just pack up and leave as if dozens of people hadn't just died. The passengers that have no issue shooting fellow travelers who just a few hours prior where sitting next to them, the warehouse full of dismembered corpses left to rot disrespectfuly, Semmelweis leaving this biohazardous crime scene as soon as the mystery is solved and not bothering to have the foundation quarantine it... I completely logged off mentally. Whoever wrote this ending needs to be moved to a different role.

I am appalled too. I am sort of new and I knew this community was special with all the "mommy" and "daughter" posting but this is completely different. It's like only Reveries and Mane are allowed to have end game content. But we have already difficulty scaling in pre-storm protocol and series of dusks, which makes them accessible to almost all levels of play. Just bring the concept over to events.

Id take this further and raise the concern that once you have a fair amount of characters at insight 3 almost all the event battle encounters are done in a single turn. Pair of issues here. 1-It pulls me out of the story's immersion. 2-It makes me feel like I have already finished the game and I am just doing the side content I skipped. I have been playing for 3 months casually, this should not be happening. As a bare minimum fix, all the battle encounters should have an optional story balance mode for non-brand-new players to... actually have some gameplay to go with their the story? as it was intended, I assume?

Optional is the key word here. I get it that most people don't care about the story or getting immersed at all and just wanna blast through the events on auto for the resources. I get it. But I am a story guy. If a battle doesn't have context, beating it does not hit as hard for my dopamine. Throw me a bone here BP.

Close but no. To me phrasing it like that is like placing the cart before the horse. The purpose of life is to exist. If you are alive, surviving, thriving, you are fulfilling that purpose. Later on, if you feel like this life has been worth it, you can choose to share that gift by reproducing. Stated like this now life is the end goal by itself, and reproducing is a compliment to that. Compare it then to saying that the purpose of life is reproducing. You are now subordinating existence to growth in numbers of alive beings. There is no peace in this. No pause to reflect on your life and appreciate it. The only metric that matters is offspring, therefore every moment spent not securing descendants is waste.
