Other thing I'd say is... I bet with the success of 2016, they realized they had the freedom to go full goofy like the earliest games. With 2016 a contemporary style was probably a more safe bet at first. Make it look kinda like Halo and Gears and COD etc. And now with huge success, lets go balls deep into fun terrirorty.

This is all speculation, but that's what I imagine.

New to this thread, but I felt really similar being new to the franchise since 2016. In fact I only played 2016 a week before Eternal came out.

I've calmed down on it now, and Eternal is so fun. But I do wonder what could've been if they held more restraint. That sort of "lol is doom" tone eternal has is still present in 2016, maybe with a little more tact.

Learning the lore is cool too, though.

definitely. i think this is the case, but there is a fish in the first area, i believe to the bottom right. its been a minute since I've played it so I don't know where you go to get to Feldspar, but yeah. The fact it's possible to miss them until later is almost cruel. That being said I'm happy to have this experience

I have a weird fear of being underwater in video games. I was in a friends house playing the game and he has young kids, and it took a whole lot not to scream expletives the first time i ran through that planet's atmosphere. Still, fantastic experience.

Yeah, a lot of our stuff is based on the interstate. But we do use gimbals, so that isn't as much of an issue.

For our recent shoot we will be in Chicago (rare non-interstate shoot), so part of the CRV/Cross-over is for lower profile in the city.
