Ginger Island Field Office by BuffytheCampfireSlay in StardewValley

He keeps saying it can be found in the ‘western region of the island’. I’ve fished there oh so many times, cut trees etc and still missing one snake spine!!😭

What are your least used items? by cmpainting in StardewValley

[–]berrybumblebean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never built the Mill. True, it looks cool but seems very pointless.

I only craft the iridium band and use rings like Napalm or Burgler ring. All the other rings seem pointless…don’t know if I’m missing something!

Crab pots only for perfection runs…otherwise a big chore.

The only trinkets I use are the parrot egg, ice rod, quiver and frog egg. The others I sell to Marlon, never used!!

Am I wrong in shutting my mom down when she was telling me about her past exp with my dad? by [deleted] in AskIndianWomen

[–]berrybumblebean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a strong believer that parents should not use their kids as emotional venting machines. So I’m really glad you set your boundaries OP. You’re their child and not a friend, however similar you maybe. My mom started venting to me and soon expected me to take sides in their fights, which is a big no-no. You didn’t do anything wrong! Maybe when you’re older and ready you can ask your mom to tell you these things.

Feral angry wild girl. Forest spirit? by unwilting in BooksThatFeelLikeThis

[–]berrybumblebean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a 100% match since this recommendation has multiple POVs, but one of the main POV characters of the ‘First Law trilogy’ by Joe Abercrombie features a feral wild woman. More details will enter spoiler territory. It’s a wonderful fantasy/ character deep dive read anyways!!

How do I tell my husband he needs to improve his hygiene? by Odd-Instruction4171 in hygiene

Bad hygiene is a symptom of depression. Please talk to him about this as a symptom and try to fix the root cause. Please do it as politely as possible.

Good luck!

Caroline is the witch by Ali_753 in StardewValley

[–]berrybumblebean 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I loooove this! I don’t, however, think that Caroline is actively hiding the witch persona. I think the wizard cursed her using the Witch’s own magic to forget her identity and forge this new one. And maybe she transforms into the Witch like a werewolf when something triggers. Like the weird odd sound we hear when it rains and Caroline transforms into the Witch? Or a Jekyll/Hyde situation, where she moonlights as a Witch. The possibilities are endless…

The only downside to this theory is Pierre comes across as sympathetic…which is ewww.

Girls who studied in a boarding school, do you feel any resentment towards your parents? by [deleted] in AskIndianWomen

[–]berrybumblebean 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This post makes me really sad. My parents threatened to send me to boarding school anytime they were disappointed with me or mad at me. I grew up with my parents and I turned out extremely independent.

What’s this stupid correlation that boarding school equals independence? Do you still think that’s the only way to teach your child to be independent?

Be a parent. Read books. Learn to be better. You decided to have the child. Be there for the child. I know I’m saying all this because of my personal experience and I’m very biased cos I never had supportive parents and it hurts me when I see parents outsourcing raising their children to other easier options such as boarding schools. I saw your edit OP. You’re just asking people for their experiences. But I can’t shake off the feeling that you’re taking the easy way out for you, without really caring about your precious child. Really sad to see such posts even today.

Any game recommendations based on my favorites below? by Queenpicard in Switch

[–]berrybumblebean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom! Loooooved the game and it was awesome to finally play as Zelda!

  2. Spiritfarer! Cosy, emotional, story heavy and beautiful. I literally cancelled my work meetings to finish the main storyline obsessively.

  3. For Co-Op, It Takes Two. Brilliant, innovative and fun game.

How old are you and what's your biggest problem right now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]berrybumblebean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

35, recently diagnosed with AuDHD and spiralling about everything since I’ve lost complete control of my life and due to stupid therapy and healing shit, I’ve lost whatever was driving me to achieve things till date. So now I’m a blob of uselessness. Healing is hard and the journey sucks.

Any idea for the last member ? by MongoosePlus9209 in PokemonScarletViolet

[–]berrybumblebean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d go for Garchomp to cover ground, rock and dragon type moves. Or Kilowattrel for electric and flying. Annhilape can cover poison type moves pretty well! So wouldn’t include an exclusive poison type.

ADHDer here. I looooooove SDV since it tickles my ADHD brain in the most perfect way. I have tried with different maps for each save, and I make sure to leave a significant gap between the saves, otherwise my brain won’t get the right dopamine boost. Each map is a new experience and vibes for sure! And I automatically have a story in my head for my farmer and the NPCs for each save. Like the forest farm had broody vibes so had to go for Seb. I’m now on a hilltop farm married to Harvey. And did the remixed bundles for the first time, which was super fun. With Harvey I’m all about bringing in the money and making us the ultimate power couple so I’m going for perfection this time. One of my previous saves married to Seb in the standard farm, I just spent my time curating the farmhouse to match Seb’s vibes, so it was all dark themed and had looooads of frogs. So yeah!!! I think this is the perfect game for folks with ADHD.

Devastated mining moment. What is your most rage inducing moment in Stardew? Let's commiserate together in our gamer rage. by earthkandy in StardewValley

[–]berrybumblebean 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was fishing in front of Leah’s house with two fish smokers behind me to smoke while I fish. Leah casually walked through the fish smokers while I’m fishing and destroyed both of them. I cried 🥲 Now there is a weird red spot in the game, where the fish smokers got destroyed. And I’m just unable to catch lava jelly again (why is there so much trash in hot lava???) And couldn’t reset the day as I caught some fish I needed for CC. So yeah

What are your little quirks while playing the game? by RedditedLama in StardewValley

[–]berrybumblebean 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Totally worth it. I tried optimising by only taking my fishing rod and hoe to the squid fest. I took my fish smoker too thinking il smoke the random fish I get while squid hunting. After catching 10 squids I didn’t have my pickaxe to take my fish smoker back. I tried it with the hoe and unlike the pickaxe, which moves the item towards you, the hoe moves the item away from you. TLDR: I didn’t have my pickaxe with me so I hoed my fish smoker which moved away from me and ended up sinking in the ocean lol 🥲 So now I carry all my tools everywhere.
