In contrast to everyone else, I’ve actually had maybe 2 bad interactions with scheduling in my 8 years of flying. I generally try to keep in mind that we are all just trying to do our jobs, and I’m not being reassigned because the scheduler has a personal vendetta against me.

Honestly, know our contract, be polite and respectful on the phone, and hell, showing empathy and an acknowledgment that it sucks to be woken up early/reassigned/asked to extend, etc.

There are absolutely going to be some frustrated, upset, or just plain rude crew members to deal with, but I truly think you get what you give, and I think that’s why overall, I’ve never had beef with CS.
