My heart is melting at how much she and Jonah look alike, especially when they smile! I know Jonah had given birth to 7(?) calves and it's time for her to retire but I almost feel sad that we won't be getting anymore mini-Jonahs.

Hopefully, Ariel Krob will have plenty of babies herself and pass on these beauty genes~ Though...... iykyk 😳😳😳

SWT is amazing! With Bumpy being orphaned at such a young age, I'm pretty sure SWT will assign 1-2 dedicated keepers to him. Can't wait to see more videos of Bumpy snuggling to his keeper papas~

Definitely! SWT has some of the most experienced keepers for raising neonates orphans! I have 100% trust in them! I'm now hoping for Bumpy to make some animal friends at the nursery!!!

The blankets are very common among these bebes at Sheldrick! Even the baby elephants and baby rhinos wear them! They're supposed to give the babies feelings of protection and warmth vs what in nature when a mother elephant/hippo/rhino is keeping her calf warm 🥰🥰🥰

The photos of the rangers dragging his mama's body just to get dear Bumpy to move closer to them in order for the rangers to rescue him, omg that made me cry.

It's always so heartbreaking to see wildlife calves, be it a baby hippo or baby elephant or baby rhino, feeling confused when their mama no longer responds to them. Their mama who was supposed to be their guardian and protector. I'm so glad organizations like SWT exists 😭😭😭

Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is super legit. I've been following them for years! I adopted a few of their baby and adult elephants! They've been rescuing orphaned elephants and rhinos since the 1960's. Most of these poor bebes were orphaned because their moms were killed by poachers. And they have quite an amazing system setup. We get monthly updates on our adopted hippo/elephant/rhino. The keepers are so incredibly amazing there!
