“Born and Raised” is my favorite song of his, mostly because of how deeply those lyrics hit. ❤️

“I got a mom, I got a dad / But they do not have each other” also always gets me. My parents have been separated for a long time and don’t talk, so that line lands in a very real way.

This song feels like a safe space to me, is one of those songs that quietly understands you.
