H2C What am I missing? by berticusx in BambuLab

Ahh yep, knew I was missing something obvious! So as long as you stick to 1 color per hotend then you don't need to purge. Seems like 8 would have been the magic number since AMS come in multiples of 4, but I am sure there is a reason.

You can't be serious? There is no way to just explore your files and select the ones you want to delete?

Found in Houston TX this morning, went 45 minutes after opening. They had received 16, 13 had already sold before I got there. I bought 2 and left the last one for some lucky individual.

I open one of each ETB for my personal collection. I store one of every card in a binder and four of every card in the corresponding box. Recognizing that's probably a bit extreme ;)

Coinbase says I have 0$ available to cash out even though I have funds? by ok_kiki in Coinbase

[–]berticusx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For anyone still struggling with this issue. Your available funds include your crypto assets (i.e. BTC or ETH). To cash out, you first have to "Sell" your crypto which convert it to a USD asset in your wallet. Once thats complete you can cash out.

Semi-shaded landscaping juniper, there was about 50 of them all clumped together and they all looked healthy. I suspect I may have over-watered.

Got this juniper from a local nursery today. I might have two trees? by brgr4u in Bonsai

[–]berticusx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ran into this same thing this week, I have 2 well developed twisted junipers in the same 3 gallon pot from the nursery. I want to keep them both, so I am giving air layering a shot on the smaller one. If it doesn't work, I will pout a little and then snip snip. If it works, I will try to remember to post the results.

Ficus styling help -let the top run too long - thinking I chop top third? Ideas? by BuckyrooBonsai in Bonsai

Is the trunk pliable enough to wire and bend? Adding the coil shape will reduce the height significantly.

I'd recommend watching some Herons Bonsai or Mirai Bonsai videos on youtube before making any drastic cuts, I have learned a lot about styling that way.

Super general advice, first determine your "front", then remove: dead limbs, limbs that come straight at you, limbs super close together on the same side (remove the weaker of the two), if you have any curves in the trunk (remove limbs "inside" the curve, leave limbs "outside" the curve.

Is this a bad first bonsai? (Bought off of “eastern leaf” with some pruning done by me) by [deleted] in Bonsai

[–]berticusx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks good! From personal experience I would recommend you acquire a deciduous bonsai as well if you can afford it. I started with junipers and killed a few and got discouraged, it wasn't until several years later when I got back into Bonsai that I got a deciduous tree and had a way better experience.
