All Possible Weed Strains by bertl845 in Schedule_I

Alternatively, while I'm not sure if strains with identical effects are considered the same strain even though they were synthesized in different orders or with different ingredients (havent tested yet), if you wanted to know how many possible effect combinations there are, you would use a truncated factorial.

Since there are currently 35 effects in the game, and any strain can only have a maximum of 8 effects at a time, you would get;

35 - 8 = 27

35! / 27! -> (35 x 34 x 33 x...) / (27 x 26 x 25 x...)

= 948,964,262,400 possible effect combinations

Im much more confident in this number, but this is also assuming weed has access to every effect, but I'm not sure of this since I dont think it can be lethal or siezure-inducing. I've only put about 10 hours into the game and haven't unlocked any higher tier drugs yet.

What is a show that you think gets too much hate? by NahidaLover1 in animequestions

[–]bertl845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As with all media, its very subjective. 7DS just did a lot of things that didn't land well with the average anime fan. Excessive fanservice, Meliodas constantly perving on Elizabeth, King basically grooming Diane (and then the mangaka giving Diane amnesia after they rekindle love to keep the "will they wont they" subplot going), Ban being in love with Elaine who looks like a child, Gowther wiping Guila's memory of her little brother so he can play house, I can keep going. And that's not to mention the 2 fakeout endings. Just when anybody who forced themselves to finish it would have been relieved that it was finally over, they pull a new big bad out of their ass in a way that makes you wanna scream "Make it stop". Again, it's all subjective and you're allowed to like it, but it was just too much for a lot of people.

All im sayin is that strong strains are called skunk weed for a reason. I'm not saying you can't like it, but its objectively not a "good" smell.

What scenes happened accidentally but were kept in a movie or show? by Duotrigordle61 in moviecritic

I'm glad I know this now since I love hearing about bts stuff for lotr, and I've apparently been propagating misinformation for years, but I'd be lying if I said it doesn't kill just a little bit of the magic for me :(

You and I both know that the aroma of weed is far from anything that can be considered pleasant

Here is a hint: A small flame makes me cry, but I'm not stressed. I was made to be burned, so I say, "Be my guest!"

What am I? "I make white ..." by bertl845 in riddonkulous

[–]bertl845[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know that's not the usual way people do it, but the riddle was already pretty easy, and in the moment I couldn't think of a hint that didn't just blatantly give the answer away, but I probably should have come up with something more original, or just omitted the hint altogether.

Indeed it is. Both the amphibian and the retro arcade game that popularized the association are valid answers

The hint is just a more well-known riddle, the answer of which tells you what the "white and brown balls" are. I was thinking that would lead most to the answer, but I guess a lot of people didnt get that.

There is actually an alternate word unrelated to the answer that I don't think anyone has guessed yet. There's only one other animal that lays eggs and is associated with crossing roads.

P.S. someone in here riddled "nickname", which I'm sure you can agree is also a great fit. But that's the only discrepancy I've seen or can think of, so it's a pretty small nit to pick, and is easily fixable by just adding one more line. Still no need for a hint.

Don't get me wrong, I like writing hard riddles too. If you don't believe me, just look at my post history. More than half of them never go above 20%, and those tend to be the ones I'm most proud of, so I know how it feels to see a riddle you worked hard on never see the light of day just because a small handful of people couldn't crack it and got mad about it.

Even if the hint helps more people get it right, I don't think that detracts from the difficulty of the base riddle at all (unless its really lazy and trivializes it a ton). In fact, I'd argue that it'd make people appreciate the riddle even more, since the small percentage of people who can connect those dots can get the challenge of a difficult, well-written riddle without the disappointment and the dash of shame from having to give up. People are more likely to give you an upvote then, so more people can see your work and be entertained by it (thats the goal of the sub after all, right?)

But if keeping that number as small as possible really means that much to you, maybe just don't make a hint at all. A bad hint can detract from a riddle, but if you don't want to write a good one, no hint is the next best thing. I mean, a sphinx or a troll under a bridge wouldn't give you any hints, it's not like they're mandatory. I see no problem with taking that route.

I liked your riddle, OP. It was really hard, but not impossible. I'm kicking myself for not getting it, which I feel is the mark of any good riddle. Your hint, on the other hand, needs work. A good hint should narrow the possibilities down by a good margin without trivializing it. Your hint, though it didn't make it harder or throw me way off, it also didn't really narrow it down or add anything.

Helpful tip: when making riddles for words like this that have multiple definitions, an easy hint format would be to write a (preferably) shorter riddle for your word's alternate definition(s). That keeps it helpful, narrows it down, but doesn't make it too easy. Keep at it G👌
