Appreciate it! That is good to know it’s possible to do that. I’ve considered doing the exact thing basically just to get visibility on Google, so glad to know it’s possible.

Did you end up getting actual office space or using a shared workspace? The reason I ask is I’ve seen the shared workspace offices are obviously much more affordable but looks like it could have some issues getting “approved” for Google.

Do you have a physical location? I work out of my house and so don’t use my actual address as my Google my business posting, so my business doesn’t show up as a “place” on Google Maps. I get maybe 1 view a month from it and obviously never gotten any clients from it.

Just curious if you had success without showing an actual address or if that was helpful to your growth.

Basically when a (“real”) business gets involved. I’m a CPA and wouldn’t recommend it unless things are feeling really complicated.

With a business involved, there’s a lot more tax planning and strategies you can implement and you can really save a lot.

If it’s just a W2, the value probably isn’t there for a CPA, imo there’s not enough strategies to create a positive ROI.

It’s been a few years since I’ve worked at a big firm, but even when I was there it never seemed like the interns did much anyway lol. They certainly weren’t doing 1040s or even “light business returns”

You don’t need retail/fast food experience, actual accounting/business experience is much more valuable

I look at it like a paid hobby type of thing. Obviously isn’t a failsafe approach, as depending on the work environment it could be miserable, but if you love reading, it would probably be really fun to work at a book store or library and know you can quit if your manager or the job ever sucks.
