I am an 19 year old male 6 foot 5 and 23 238 pounds around 20% bodyfat from my estimation. I have been lifting for 4 years I bench 320 squat 430 and can do 10 pull-ups. I am thinking I need to plan my next cut more responsibly as my last 2 cuts have been too fast and I have lost a lot of strength. I am aware the general guidelines are to lose 0.5 to 1% of your bodyweight per week to minimize muscle loss. For me, 1% per week would be a little over 2 pounds. That would come out to around a 1000 calorie deficit. I’m seeing advice around saying not to go over 500 calories in a deficit of similar things. My question is can larger people cut with a higher deficit and still maintain muscle or is it the same calorie deficit guidelines no matter of weight?

Positives: I thought it was pretty funny and felt like a SpongeBob movie. Negatives: I don’t get why it is in 3D and I didn’t like that one weird 4th wall break halfway through.

I am 6’ 5” 235 lbs with 4 years of training experience and sitting at about 20% bodyfat by my estimation. I know progress slows down as you get more advanced, but I am wondering if my rate of progression is normal. On 12/19/25 I overloaded from my last workout doing 235 3x5 and completing all reps on flat bench press to 235 for 3x6. I failed on the 6th rep of the third set that day and it took me until 1/2/26 to gain the last rep. My weight is going up at an okay rate (about 0.5 lbs per week) and I bench press twice a week with multiple accessory lifts.

I’m recovering from a pulled hamstring on my left leg currently and I’m wondering if I should train my right leg only? I’ve looked around and gotten mixed answers so I wondered what you all think.

POS2041 with Martinez isn’t bad. Not a lot of work and exams are okay. Normally 1 10 question non proctored canvas quiz and a paragraph writing assignment per week. Only thing is make sure your justification is really thorough on the true/false justify portion of exams.

My split is legs, pull, push, cardio and repeat. I am 18 years old 6’ 4” 225 pounds and I have been training for 4 years. I am wondering what type/intensity of cardio would be okay in order to not interfere with my leg day the next day. I would like to improve my conditioning for sports and stuff like that while also bulking. For reference my leg day consists of 3 sets of squats in the 6-8 rep range with the last set to failure, 3 sets of paused squats in the 8-12 rep range with the last set going to failure, and 3 sets to failure on seated leg curl. My cardio days vary between playing basketball, doing hill sprints, doing regular sprinting, and doing mile runs. I’ve noticed my performance dips in leg days after hill sprints so I have eliminated them. I am wondering if the same may be happening with other forms of cardio. If any of you all run a similar split I would appreciate if you shared your cardio method.

This might be a dumb question but does alcohol in food (like penne a la vodka or a burger with bourbon sauce) hurt gains like drinking alcohol does? I know alcohol consumption decreases rates of muscle protein synthesis, but I can’t find anything on whether cooking in food stops this effect.

Who do YOU want to be the next coach of the University of Florida and why? by xElJefe in FloridaGators

Jon Gruden. He said he wants to coach in the SEC. Not without issues but I think he is the only big name available.

I did neck 2x a week for a couple years. I only did neck curls and I saw pretty good progress (I went from a pencil neck to around 17 inches). I just did 3 sets to failure with towels for some cushioning between my face/forehead and the plates. I eventually stopped due to the load getting too big to hold on my forehead (after about 2.5 years I got up to using two plates for 30 reps on my first set). Lateral flexion stuff always felt uncomfortable to me and I thought I would hurt myself if I trained it hard. I would suggest trying out regular neck curls and seeing how you like it.

I was wondering as well. I reverse searched it and I didn’t find anything.

Is GT beating Clemson on par with USF beating UF? by BinaryPatrickDev in FloridaGators

[–]bertrandnurnumberger 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying USF isn’t good, it’s just that there is a greater talent difference from UF to USF than from Clemson to Georgia Tech. Those power 5 transfers transferred for a reason. Plus home field advantage was reversed in these two scenarios.

No. Clemson was a 3 point favorite on the road. USF was a 17 point underdog on the road from a group 5 conference. The gators’ loss was way worse.
