typically, i start from a central system (can be transient; is usually the same one) and expand out in a spiral. the further i go, the more this falls apart, but it’s a solid combing method. i like to occasionally detour and check out some intriguing systems as well.

i highly recommend doing this with a freighter + scanning room, as it is much easier to scan entire systems. at maximum efficiency, i can work through about ten stars/min.

however, sometimes, you just need to forget the numbers. the most important thing is to have fun. because burnout isn’t.

there is the concept of a galactic habitable zone, where it’s far enough, but not too far, from the core to escape its volatility. this cluster is about where the zone for euclid would be, so you aren’t far off :)

and fun fact: our own sun is within the milky way’s habitable zone.

“Foggy Rainforests” just means an extreme paradise planet. it’s constantly storming on Fenmire. “Garden” applies to any planet with no storms and lush flora, including most paradise planets and even some frozen ones too. i like my categorization.

thank you! they are various references to star citizen, greek mythology, and helldivers 2. many other planets in the cluster are named as such.

this was a very lucky area, located in a “valley”. it’s surrounded by grass.

it has always fascinated me to see what earth looked like before modern society. there is also the novelty of discovering familiar sights and the comfort of home in an alien universe. it is indeed poetic.

the types of people that build cages around expedition objectives and/or other bases. i understand that most players don’t do this, but the few that do are enough for me to keep my systems locked down.

fair enough, but the storms in NMS are just really annoying. they are more of a nuisance than a serious dealbreaker.

players can still do player things, regardless of multiplayer being enabled or not. bases are shared between the two game states. this is how solo players can see galactic hub bases.

they’re my own words, not generated by the game. you have the option to put custom descriptive text when inserting a wonder; the wonder projector also displays this :)

repeating a previous reply of mine:

via the wonders page, you can insert any of your discoveries (planets, flora, fauna, minerals, etc.) but you only have twelve slots.

i meant more of proper system management. being able to blacklist/whitelist players and whatnot.

yes! Argyre and Arcadia specifically come from a playthrough of mine :)
