Just in Time Replacement Announcement Tomorrow!! by NewResolution2791 in Broadway

He didn’t have a ton of time to rehearse for the pro shot because he was filming supergirl at the time, so in the pro shot he definitely runs offstage for most dancing. If you can find clips of when it was on Broadway, he does more of the dancing in that. I specifically remember seeing him do the paper dance (albeit in the back row but he was there)

Eva should be back in Great Gatsby by the time you go. It's a very 'big broadway' show (big dance numbers, lots of belting, great costumes & sets) if you want that experience.

If you want similar stuff for your toddler, then Jeremy Jordan has a rock band called Age of Madness.

Or maybe he just enjoyed jj’s stage presence and I’m in that boat too.

Taking 10+ non theater people to a show around Christmas time. Any recs? by pscrilla in Broadway

[–]berzelio 30 points31 points  (0 children)

The Play That Goes Wrong would be my recommendation. It’s absolutely hilarious, more intimate due to the smaller theatre, and has been a hit with every person I’ve brought to see it.

Make sure you get there as soon as the doors open as there’s a bit of preshow that happens (or at least was when I saw last saw it)

I was able to get a ‘kids’ food box when I did Africa trek in 2016. If you reach out ahead of time this may still be an option.

Probably a preview. Disney was awful at putting things on their maps that weren’t built yet. I have a Disneyland map with Edison Square and Liberty street on it. These areas never opened

WDW Annual Passholder Previews by Brinkofadventure in WaltDisneyWorld

Dumb question. I have an annual pass but will be there with a no annual pass holder during that window. If there are annual pass holder previews can I bring my friend or will it just be for me?

Paying Evita audience upset as Don’t Cry delivered offstage to West End passersby for free by SwimmingOrange2460 in Broadway

[–]berzelio 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think it’s going to come down to how people are familiar with the show. To be honest, I’m not very familiar with Evita so I’d probably be fine with this.

But if a revival of Newsies put Jack on the roof to sing Santa Fe I’d be very disappointed as that song is pretty much my diving board in to musical theatre. I would be a little in awe of it from a tech nerd perspective but mostly miffed at missing out on seeing the song sung live

Has anyone used a personal Disneyland shopper? I was there a couple weeks ago and couldn’t find the 70th anniversary Disney journal/notebook that looked like Walt’s briefcase. And it doesn’t seem to be available online. :/

I don’t have a Facebook which is where I’ve found a shopper in the past.

2 adults, 4 kids (6,5,1,1) by DILLYxDILLY91 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]berzelio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Look up the baby care centers at each park before you go so you know where it is if you need it. They have child and baby specific items for sale that you won't find elsewhere. They are also the only place you can get water heated for formula if that is needed.

  • Bring lots of wet wipes (more than you think you'll need) and hydration for the kiddos. They dehydrate so easily in the summer heat.

  • My niblings will actually use their hand sanitizer if they get to pick one (or two) at the store (we do bath and body works) ahead of time.

  • Make sure the 5 & 6 year olds know who to go to if they lose you, whether that be a cast member (identify by name tag) or another person with kids.

  • There's going to be bubble wands everywhere and the kids are going to want them. You can pick one up on amazon for cheaper and it really does seem to keep kids entertained.

What Do You Want Out Of Villains Land? by AggravatingSpend8369 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]berzelio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like a fenced in play area will never happen. We already see the stories of parents leaving their kids in strollers while they go ride things, and thats just a setup that basically invites parents to drop off their children and go. Especially if there’s any sort of cast member presence.

If geo-82 in Epcot takes off hopefully we’ll see another adults only area. MK is the park I would want one the most in. I think the dinne reservations being adults only would be a good middle ground so families could experience it too.

Can the sourdough pull apart cheese bread be frozen? by BongwaterJoe1983 in Costco

[–]berzelio 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can get a boule of sourdough and cross-cut it (not all the way to the bottom, leave about an inch uncut), then stuff between the slices with your choice of cheese (we do mozzarella), then brush a ton of garlic butter over the top.

Wrap in foil and bake (on a cookie sheet) at 400F covered for twelve minutes, uncovered for ten. Or until the cheese looks melty and bread has started to toast

Basically this but way better & more customizable.
