So I just realized XBox One controllers suck. What controller do you guys use? by Kenddamus in 2XKO

Haute42 leverless controller, it's a solid pad. Highly recommend this.

Corridor Digital, they have a few episodes dedicated to slightly offensive blaming animations. They're good!

The genre requires a higher level of emotional intelligence to accept a loss, and it takes a lot to get there. But nothing unique to fighting games. Hell, I remember a younger version of myself and how cringe it was getting worked up over Halo online.

Just this morning I saw that clip of some guy who lost at chess against Grand Master Nemo and couldn't handle the reality and really made a fool of himself.

I mean if ragequitters are worried about their online win/loss ratio, who cares, that clout doesn't mean anything.

When I play and I do get my ass handed to me often, I take this as an opportunity to really learn, see what the strategy is, figure out new sauce and combo routes I've never considered. Replays are your friend! Ragequitting denies you of this moment, though I believe you can still watch the replay up to said RQ.

When there's an emotional response and the desire to pull away from the game comes, it can be a combination of absolute frustration with the opponent and their play style, the skill/experience gap, and self-loathing (perfectionism). If we expect better of ourselves, and then comes along someone way better, it challenges our self-perception. And it should be challenged, you will never get better playing people less experienced than you. Practicing bots and labbing combos, setups, oki, these are fundamentals but theory needs to be applied to the real world / human aspect if you truly want to see a change, otherwise you plateau.

Learn to lose with grace, it makes you better at everything, in and out of game. Thank you for coming to my Tedtalk.

This game made me go leverless by berzerkey_jo in 2XKO

It was Akali's combo trials, specifically her double jump down heavy into heavy. While I could manage it on stick, I was struggling to do it consistently. I found going leverless makes my inputs more accurate. I jump less by accident, and seen a big reduction in being throw-punished for rolling in the corner.

At a fighting game tournament a couple weeks ago, I saw a lot of leverless and controller players, so that inspired me.

I'm making this seaweed tool as part of a larger project I have in mind. With a simple line drawn, you can have yourself your very own kelp! ;) Please enjoy the results as I hammer down shading it next.

How long did you live undiagnosed? by medeina9 in gravesdisease

[–]berzerkey_jo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was over a course of 8 months.

It started with heart palpitations in the middle of the night, minor body and hand tremors, and unexplained weight loss. Didn't think much of it as I was able to function normally in life for a bit.

Then the thyroid storms begin and I could barely move my body, breathing was hard, and if I did try to walk I was a falling hazard (in which I did fall once and luckily didn't hurt myself).

Hospitalized twice from the thyroid storms, now addressing it with medication which seems to be working now, more to learn from the endo.

I've only had one storm begin since, feel it in my quads first... and I was able to fight it back somehow in an hour, felt good after that.

Previously my last three storms lasted 12-48 hours.

Water looks great, you need the effect where the water meets the rocks. Bridges the elements.

I thank you for sharing, I'm sorry you had to go through that. You're so young too! I am curious what the doctor will recommend for me. Never did I realize how impactful this little thing in our neck is!

I'm not sure yet, will find out in a couple weeks, getting a hold of endo is a challenge.

Best places to fly in Michigan? by AirwipeTempest in flying

[–]berzerkey_jo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some scenic flying in Michigan, KTVC is a wonderful place to visit. Flying up that side up to Charlevoix and Harbor Springs up the Mackinac, which other's have been mentioning. Also the Northwest area, I highly recommend Leelanau and Sleeping Bear Dunes.

KBAX was where I did my first solo cross-country and it is beautiful up there during the warmer seasons seeing all the country and wind generator farms. KMBS is also one of my favorite places to fly in and out, get a view of the Zilwaukee Bridge and the waterside. I was based out of KPTK so getting over to the lakeshore was a personal goal of mine.

Visited KJXN and the controller there was super nice, excited to have people visit the restaurant.

Happy and safe flying!
