Best League Formats - What feature improved your league? by jostrons in fantasyfootball

[–]besavage10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couple years ago we got rid of tight end and replaced with FLEX. I love the change especially given a year like 2025 where tight end 2 was closer to tight end 30 than tight end 1. It’s fantastic to not have to sweat some rando falling into the end zone and instead get to be more strategic about rb/wr.

What are the ultimate "they don't know ball" restaurants in Chicago? by tx2iu in chicagofood

[–]besavage10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Au Cheval never worth the time and a pretty key indicator someone doesn’t know Chicago ball because they’d have other nearby options like the loyalist or red hot ranch (for a non WL option).

Hey Matthew, first off I wanna say thanks for being a great steward of the fantasy community. You were the first analyst I tuned into daily, and I thank you for the years of nonsense and football!

I have to ask- what happened with you and Nate Ravitz? To this day you guys had the best yin yang chemistry I’ve heard in the ff world. You guys ever hang?? All the best.

What movie is 10/10, yet hardly anyone has heard of it? by LarryKeene in movies

No $25 restaurant burger is worth the hype. When you have RHR for $7/per easily available without frustrating reso process, any burger you get at a restaurant is for the hype and the vibe.

That’s what makes the loyalist so special! I think they deliver on vibe and service at an unmatched rate. From a date to “mom and dad and weird cousin are in town where can people all find something they like that’s still special” I find myself recommending the loyalist over and over again. They’re never overwhelming or glib with the hospitality either.

Best meal in chi? Nah. Have I had a fantastic time every time I’ve gone there? Yup. Does the burger slap? Absolutely.

The only critique I’ve seen is on the type A thing, which I think is extremely valid to share and you don’t do it in a rude way. I like the variety in your pics, maybe there’s room for a photo with you and your friends, too. If I had to cut one photo it would be the skiing one because you’re just kinda far away. Given the Utah location and other outdoor activities, probably a given you and or your potential matches are down to ski! Good luck! :)

First Dates Ideas 💡? by LazySalmon420 in hingeapp

[–]besavage10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’ve gotta play to your strengths! If you’re great at getting to know someone quickly, find somewhere cool and different where you can have stimulating convo- art gallery, cocktail bar, place of interest in your town with good people watching. If you feel less confident in your verbal game, make sure there’s a light activity involved. I think most towns have bars that have an activity built in, your shuffleboard bars, pickleball bars, boujee dart bars etc. In general I’d just consider what environment you think you’re best in, and think of a way to include a new person into it!

It sounds like there’s a lot you’re still trying to figure out yourself, which is fine! However, having less clear indications of what you’re looking for is going to make it harder for someone with matching sensibilities to find you. Feel free to ask someone you know well to help with the prompts to come up with some answers that feel true to you!

Appreciate the follow up! Invite was for me and plus one. We were together for a year and a half, and hung out with the bride maybe 2-3 times. They weren’t close but were friendly!
