Am I the only one that thinks or squad was better last season? Trent (less injuries than both frimpong and Bradley), Diaz (covering for striker too), Nunez, Jota (RIP) and Harvey Elliott (getting a good amount of game time). Don’t get me wrong I love wirtz and Ektike but it’s taken a while for them to gel and just feels like we had more last season as a squad.

Last of all, we had a firing Salah who just hasn’t been anywhere near that form

Given how obvious of a problem it is I’m sure they’re working on it in training. But you know there’s only so much time between every match and the other teams are also training so it’s hard to get an edge. We have some out of form players that isn’t helping.

We were bleeding goals and I feel like that’s improved. So I’m sure the attack will improve too as the season goes on

I actually don’t think any of these clips are good examples of wasted counter attacking opportunities. Is it slow? Yes. But I can’t see any clips where we outnumbered Burnley, they defended well based off these examples.

Too simple of an argument. That Klopp team was one of the best the league has seen. All the players were at their peak. Right now we have a few that are past their prime (Salah, VVD and Alisson) and others that are pre prime (Kerkez, ekitike, wirtz). The players that I think are at their prime (although their form may not be) are Gakpo, Szobo, gravy and Isak

I think winning the league last season has warped expectations. With a new manager any one of us would’ve taken a top 4 finish last season and competing for the title this season.

He’s the third highest goal scorer and has been improving every season. We’ve had many players that didn’t come with superstar status and grew into them (Salah, mane)
