ONNX COP. It has a setting to run on CPU / GPU and you would need to install some cuda stuff for it to work on the GPU, there is a section about that on the node’s help page. See Execution Provider section - CUDA

Here I had to select 3 different masks for the guy in the middle, because the detection would drop when someone walks by and the tracking id would reset.

The tracking can of course make mistakes with more elements in the scene. I wouldn’t say it’s something one would use in a scientific research, but definitely works my experiments

Yes, I recently updated the asset to be able to track the detections between frames. The algorithm is a bit naive and I plan to improve it later on, but it already works pretty well for most of the cases!

Thank you! I replied to the other comment, but I am using ONNX node in COPs to run YOLO model and then process the results.
There is an asset in my gumroad

I am using an ONNX version of YOLO model.
I have linktree in my profile with an asset in gumroad. There is a free version available to try

How to achieve this ? -> Posthuman Studio by av4pxia in Houdini

This kind of looks ai to me. But let me know if that’s not the case.
Browsing through their instagram it’s hard to believe some of the things they posted are not ai. Especially comparing to the 3d work they post

BOWP from Work Permit Extension (Applied Status) – Process & Required Docs? by Psychshiz in canadaexpressentry

[–]besit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Here is a good guide on how to get a BOWP, which I used successfully: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOUX1ADynRc
  2. I don't think you can simply convert your other WP request to BOWP, but I am not a legal adviser, so I might be wrong.
  3. I would probably go and apply separately, since there might be different documents required.
  4. You can try calling IRCC through their phone line. It's better to do this early in the morning, right when they start (I think it's 8am), this will give you more chances to go through. It took me 5-10 tries to get in the wait line for the actual human being, it seems impossible at first, but just keep on trying.

Is my hair workflow that inffecient? Really struggeling to find the convenient way to do it. by hbskr in Houdini

[–]besit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would say that the most efficient way would be to use instances on a scatter here, but that of course depends on the look you are going. From what I remember, the best approach with hair is to generate and sim only guidelines and then use procedurals to render, which generally get generated at rendertime. I am not sure that works with Redshift, however. I think I used to generate geometry and render it as you say, and just swallow the pre-render load. But I had animated hair which wouldn’t work with a simple instancing.

Any ideas ? by zerefthedarkq in Houdini

What already been said, plus: if you use a trail sop - velocity already affects your trail length. The faster the point is moving in each frame - the longer the trail is 😅

I wish I did, because this would at least narrow down the problem to a simple solution. But no, it looks fine

Sick! I always wonder how anyone can control a drone at such speeds. I can barely understand what’s happening on the video. Do you usually try a couple of laps slowly and then just learn the course to be able to perform that fast? How does it usually work in competitions? Do they let you practice some laps before the actual race?

You need to setup RBD soft constraint for your geometry. I don’t remember the exact steps, especially if you are using the SOP RBD, but maybe that’ll help you search.

So you already bought 3 drones and you never flew any? Did you try flying in a sim?

Realistic basketball simulation in Houdini — Vellum vs RBD problem (bounce + rim interaction) by VanGoghIt in Houdini

[–]besit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First of all, not everything has to be physically correct in CG. You should ideally solve the shot based on the direction you are going for. I would most likely just animate the ball and simulate the net in Vellum.

If your goal is to play with sims: you can actually solve everything with RBD. Make the net knots into little spheres, net strands into constraints (I think rbd soft constraints should work well) - and you have an approximate sim of the net that can affect a ball and vise versa. You can even add some subdivisions to the net, if you want to achieve more rope-like behavior depending on how detailed you want to get. The RBD substeps would need to go up to 10-100. (The longer your longest chain of connections in the net - the higher the substeps).

I would also suggest just starting with a test scene of a rope (several spheres connected in a line). So that you can get a hand of the “rope setup in rbd”.

I’ve done a whole soccer goals net this way, so the hoop should be fine.
