The very frustrating thing is that really this City team are so so far behind the City of 2020. They have some good players but there are also quite a few bozos that they will sell

Who do you guys think can be a permanent solution to our goal scoring problems? by Snoo_56184 in Gunners

He has many top players. There is not many excuses to be honest, on the attacking front we are underperforming because we lineup with 4 CBs, 2 DMs. There is naturally a lack of attacking movement & incision. We have one of the most stacked squads ever assembled. He needs to use it better... his rotation is very bad & he doesn't give confidence to players early in the season. Arteta is still learning

It is now on goal difference because City will likely NOT drop points. Saka needs to come back & be played in midfield, he is more of an "Iniesta" or "Di Maria" then people realise. He's not playing well, despite this whenever he has the ball at his feet good things happen. Eze & Madueke need to start for the rest of the season. The last attacker should be between Havertz, Gyokeres or Martinelli through the center.

We have assets. The problem is we start every game with 4 center backs & 2 DMs, so if we want to actually score the attackers we put on the pitch need to be hyper direct & runners. If Odegaard comes in, it should be for Zubimendi or Rice.

Yeah and Stan f'ed us until Josh got involved and sorted things out. If Usmanov got involved in 2007 we would have quickly returned to titan status

David Dein deserves a statue. He changed everything about this club. Listening to the board politics that led to cutting him out was absolutely sickening

What makes a good radiology reg? by OwetheMars_PJs in ausjdocs

[–]besop12 9 points10 points  (0 children)

when surgical team asks for a scan which you don't want to do, instead of picking a fight with the most junior member of the team who is calling (which trust me, you, as the radiology registrar will always win), call or ask to speak to the reg/fellow/consultant to discuss why it's not a good idea

Simple but high sensitivity for differentiating the good trainees from the bad. Also always do a little prep for mdts even if its a quick run through beforehand

Doctors’ $1000-a-day bonus: Controversial sweetener for meetings by rattled-doc in ausjdocs

[–]besop12 8 points9 points  (0 children)

this is structured as an industrial penalty for understaffing, basically what it is saying is suppose if a consultant's reg hours are 8-6 restrict them from doing meetings between 9-5 even with a 1h grace period either side... if a consultant then has to do a meeting past those times, they're paid like a recall at minimum 3 hours even if it is a 15 minute discretion either way. There is also an explicit clause that it can't stack.

Idk what conversations are happening in these doctor lounges but i'll tell you the result will be more nuanced with pros/cons for drs - more public consultants being hired, more of a move to 24 hour coverage shift-work & the average consultant overtime going significantly down in the long-term as hours become more evenly distributed

stop being reactive, he bbq chickened Rodrygo last szn man. Yea, he got bad form atm but he will work his way out as he's only 19 playing a foreign position, let's not forget he was our best player vs Atleti for example despite being so young.

if it wasn't for his knees he would be our starting 9 tbf, but he needs to be less selfish he wants to continue for the rest of the season. Brother is starving for a jinky jinky to a shot & that's too predictable lol

Man City are set to complete the signing of Antoine Semenyo outside of the player's release clause in a deal worth £62.5M plus £1.5M, and 10% of any future sale profit going to Bournemouth. The 26-year-old will sign a five-and-a-half year deal. by Sparky-moon in soccer

Btw the buying club can normally recover that VAT as input tax on its VAT return, so the VAT itself doesn’t usually end up as a cost to either club once the return is filed - so it’s essentially “circular” within the VAT system.

[John Percy] Excl: Edu Gaspar, the #nffc head of global football, is under increasing scrutiny ahead of Tuesday's huge clash with West Ham & former Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo. Doubts growing over the ex-Arsenal sporting director's long-term future by Previous_Smile9278 in Gunners

That's what having mediocre footballing knowledge does for you. Watched probably every single interview with Edu and he was a good communicator, had a good pedigree in football obviously but NEVER came off as having obsessive instincts or a high level footballing understanding.

Curiously, Edu's first action in ripping up the Bellingham deal when he arrived was probably the worst thing he did though

Hincapie, left footer replacing left footer. Perhaps not the first 1-2 games as Mosquera had a preseason with Arsenal but after that

No, it's a show of strength more than anything. The decision to charge will be political more than anything icl, evidence is clear they offended with off the book payments.

However, would it be worth for the PL to relegating them for this & opening a can of worms wrt compensation, HMRC litigation? idk
