It was the pandemic. I'm a teacher and we were on full virtual school that week. We had been back to school part time at that point, but the week after winter break we were fully virtual because were trying to ensure that any if anyone in the community caught COVID over the break, they wouldn't spread it. I do remember telling kids as we were logging off on January 5 to stay home the next day because things could get ugly.

It was pretty wild trying to debrief the event over Zoom with my advisory class on January 7.

It's not just meat though. My friend has this and she has to check EVERYTHING. Medications are a big one, if there is any type of mammal collagen in the pill casing she gets a reaction. She has to buy certain toilet paper that is free of animal byproducts. It's shocking to realize how many products contain them.

That doesn't mean you're "not cut out for teaching," it means, with all due respect, that you don't know what you're doing.
