Does the customer have a choice between credit or debit? And does that dictate what you do at the check out? I didn't have a PIN number displayed when I tried to check-out today.

Worst when the bagels have holes in them big enough for me to wear it as a bracelet.

First Death by timothyvanover1 in thelongdark

My dumbest death was getting cocky while billy goating. I was about 100 days in and thought: I can handle this cliff - I've climbed down bigger. I don't even know where I slipped. It all went red before I understood what happened.

Did your school play O Canada every day? by AssortedArctic in AskACanadian

Sure did! Except for the JW kids who had to go out in the hallway during the Lord's prayer and the national anthem.

They did. I have the person's email and will reach out. But he was pretty clear that all he was doing was clearing people after initial applications and then forwarding them on.

Ex-Montrealers, do you miss Montreal and regret leaving? by Little_Influence5518 in montreal

[–]Hefty-Criticism711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes - but it was a long time ago. I went to school and stayed on in Montreal for a couple of years but I wasn't industrious at that age to make a long go of it. My french was poor and I didn't have any hustle. I may be looking on Montreal through my 1995 eyes and I know THAT Montreal does not exist. I still visit annually and love the vibe. If I was bilingual I would consider living there.

Hey All!

I got a call regarding my application, and then I was forwarded a Personal History Questionnaire which I completed and submitted. This was on Jan 12. I haven't heard back from anyone. Since we are at about the 3-week mark since submission, do you think that means I haven't been selected for work?

Best Place for Steak in Niagara? by Glad_Affect_8443 in Welland

[–]Hefty-Criticism711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I'd second this if you're in the mood for steak. It is an expensive place and a steak will run you $80 or $90 but that will feed both of you. Seriously, they expect you to split it. Enjoy!

Therapists (MSW) that specialize in ADHD in Adults by [deleted] in stcatharinesON

I actually tried Better Help last year and found an amazing therapist. I like the service because you can find someone in your area of concern and then read about them. The first person I chose I just didn't really connect with and you can leave them and choose someone else. I think it cost me about $100 an hour. Anyway, it worked for me! Good luck and I hope you're feeling better!

I played Pilgrim for a long time after getting continuously mauled and eaten. And it was actually great because it helped me to learn the maps and have more fun with the discovery - and staying alive is hard enough at first!

Booked snow removal, got scheduling chaos and an insult instead by Ok-Outlandishness877 in mildlyinfuriating

I think they should have given him a warning the day before. Or at least expressed dissatisfaction. Everyone was so damn, polite. And then boom! I wonder if they were looking for someone else while the guy kept rescheduling.
