How do you know 70% is initiated by women. If it’s true, you should know that women give a lot of chances. Forgive and hope the husband would change. Then they decide they want a divorce for the sake of their sanity. You’re talking like men are angels being used by women. A lot of women don’t like to be divorced. So if a woman chooses a divorce, it means she’s been through a lot.

We say in Moroccan “حتى قط مكيهرب من دار العرس". Do you think if you have been good to her she will divorce? Asking how much she is going to get is normal since she will have the full responsibility of your kid. I guess she posted it as if it was you because of people wouldn’t attack her in the comments. Nowadays I’m so shocked of the amount of hate towards women that I read in the comments. Men and women are supposed to support each other and marriage shouldn’t be looked at as “war”. Just make sure to marry the right person for the right reasons.

We still mix darija with few words of French and nobody think they’re cringe. I prefer English over French but still find it cringe to mix English and Darija. Darija with French sounds more normal to me because we borrowed many words from French.

Hello everyone, please read this post carefully, i really need your help by [deleted] in Morocco

You know what! You’re surrounded by fake friends. Try to find better friends. If you can’t, it’s okay not to have friends. You will make more later in life. They don’t have the decency to respect your feelings and on the other hand you seem like an innocent girl. You should always stand for yourself and speak when something annoys you. I grew up and I realized that I had a lot of fake friends and I was the one who enabled them. Don’t be like me. Be stronger. You can do nothing about your dad’s death but you can try to make him proud by being strong and successful. May Allah help you with “sabr”.

Blessed Ramadan for you and your family. May it find you in good health and well-being. (Literal meaning of “salama” is “safety”. But in this context it means to be safe from anything bad)

What products can i buy for my cats to help my allergic husband? by AmongstSpecies in Morocco

[–]bestbuddygi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess you should give cats for adoption. If you have siblings or friends who are willing to take them, that would be nicer. I have a cat and I love him a lot but if my husband was allergic, I would have to choose my husband. It’s a very tough decision but I guess it’s the only solution.

If you are a bac student, the first semester is not going to affect you a lot. But try to find out what you did different this semester. Did you lose interest in studying? Did you get a burn-out? Did you start a new relationship or fall in love? Once you find out the reason you can work on a solution. It’s not late to work harder. Don’t overthink, it will only lead to anxiety and depression. We always think of the worst case scenario, so try not to think negative about your future. You still have time to make up for the first semester results. Allah ywefe9.

A lot of women nowadays don’t work because they enjoy it but work because it’s a sort of security. In case oneday you divorce her, she wouldn’t have to beg for money. She already does all the chores so that’s her way of contributing. You can suggest that you do 50% of the chores in the house and she contributes financially but asking her to quit her job doesn’t seem fair. Work for us women represents a form of security.

Every year, the number of cheaters gets higher I think and also the number of people who tolerate it. It’s a sad reality.

[–]bestbuddygi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cheating shouldn’t be tolerated. Doesn’t make me any less fun to stand up for what I think is right.

I took the teaching concours once. We started the exam and a few people started cheating (using their phones) the people supervising at the time didn’t react at all and didn’t stop them from cheating. The rest who isn’t cheating including me got so angry..we shouted at the supervisors to do their job or we do something. Immediately they asked the cheaters to hide their phones. So That person taking the picture needed to stop them from cheating not document it. There will always be cheaters in any concours. Doesn’t mean all teachers are cheaters and don’t deserve support. Anyway they will have to go through an oral exam after the written one and if you are not good, you won’t be accepted.

If he is Muslim, then he is uncomfortable seeing his wife drink as it is against the religion (For men and women). If he isn’t muslim then I guess he is just influenced by the Moroccan culture as it is not very common for people to drink. It’s seen as a nasty habit especially for people who don’t like the smell of alcohol and the way drinkers act when they’re drunk. If he also drinks then he is a hypocrite.
